As it is currently after Midnight on the Right Coast,
And we have opened all our stuff via the Hispanic tradition.
I'll wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to the DTR staff, and all of the membership here. As I count my blessings during this season, I surely include this site and all the special people here whom I think of as friends, even though I have only met a few face to face. I hope to remedy that problem soon, as one of the blessings that I'm counting is an early retirement from teaching this summer. I'll need to find another source of income to help out the pension, but it should leave me with more time to come to some events that I haven't been able to attend in the past.

I had a girlfriend for a couple years that was from a hispanic family.

They did the Christmas thing on the eve as well.
Santa came and everything, opened all the presents,
then they headed off to midnight mass.

Gotta participate a couple years in that tradition.

Now she is gone, and we've gone back to the old ways:

Waking up very much before the crack of dawn with the kids yelling in their quietest voices,
"Is it time yet? Is it time yet?"

Then they head off to their mothers, and I head off to work, where I sit as I type this.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Hispanic and Spanish....

Where I live have lots of traditions about chrismas, including american ones. All depends on every family. Even some families do not give presents until 6th of january, because we do not finish chrismas celebrations till that day.

Merry Chrismas, Feliz navidad, Bon nadal to everybody!!!!
