Did my Christmas eve good deed

Was coming home from my sons place real late and found some lady had driven her Honda into a muddy ditch. Stopped and she asked me if I could help. We were in the ball and chains Subaru so I said I'll be right back. She asked if I had a truck big enough to pull her out and I said I don't know but we'll try.
Went to the house and fired up the rig and went back up the road. Once I was assured she was not going to sue me for any potential damage, I hooked up and eased her out of the ditch with ease of course. She tried to make me take here last $25 and I said no thanks, have a happy holiday and drove noisily off into the darkness.
I heard them say as I backed up to pull out "thats a bad truck for sure".

Coolness has been acheived.

(now extending that arm, bending that elbow, and patting myself on the back)

Ouch, that hurt.

we just got about 14-16 inches of snow here in ohio and i think just about everyone has been dumbfounded... i bet i saw 50 little cars stuck everywhere, in the middle of the road, on the side of the road, in the ditch, in there driveway etc etc... i just loved to be able to go everywhere with my truck, i love the weight of these engines on the front for 4WD... i pulled out several people including the mailman trying to deliver mail today lol...

I'm usually very hesitant to hook up to people any more. Had one guy try to sue me cause I pulled him up over a bank back on to the road and when his truck came over the side of the bank, it put a little scratch on his rocker panel. Ungrateful son of, er ah, Merry Christmas folks.

the only ones i ever try to help with a pull is if they are easily stuck like on a patch of snow on the road or somthing and that they have something easy to hook on to. Ill let the tow truck driver come and pull someone out of a ditch, too many lawsuit happy people running around these days......

I tried to offer a lady ride yesterday, she was walking down the road with her purse, and there was a car on the shoulder about 1/4 mile behind her, like it broke down. I asked if she needed any help, and she said, "I'm all set, thanks anyway." I was alone in the truck, wearing my faded, stained DHRA cap. After I pulled away, I wondered if she was afraid to accept my offer???? All you can do if offer, I guess.

I pulled a little ol Honda out of the ditch Thursday night with my little ol 1/2 ton.He just missed the drive way and ran off into the ditch front end first and another guy pulled up with a chain and I pulled him out.I used to keep a good 30 foot 1/4 inch loggin chain with me at all times till someone thought they needed it more than me.

Thats the 3rd person I've pulled out this last year other than my buddies but we ant gonin into that.

Isn't it amazing how an overheard compliment is worth way more than a ladies last couple of dollars.

I love money don't get me wrong, but I sure do like it when someone says something nice about my truck!!!!

Yep. I pulled a company float in a parade weekend before last and more people hollered out of the crowd about how nice the truck was than hollered about the float.
