Marine Corps!!!

I've been a member for a month or so, made a few posts, but reading mostly. I see a lot of millitary on line, and a few Marines. If you are a Jarhead, look me up, and we can get some war stories going. Any other branches, feel free to jump in, I won't discriminate!!! I'm just wondering who'd served throught the site. If you need something from me, let me know.

Glad to have you with us Sarge!

Might have to put out some crayons if you want those other Jarheads to be able to sign in

Just kidding guys, I will be humming "The Halls of Montezuma" all afternoon now

I am currently a Corporal with the 24th MEU (SOC). An 1161 with the CE JTFE team to be exact. Looking to get home soon I hope. Nothing worse than being stuck on a ship with nothing to do but sleep and run. I dream DIESEL and TWIN TURBOS with TST every night! I did a year and a half in Camp Schwab, and then back to Lejeune.

When I was a young lad (73-78) stationed on the USS Decatur DDG31 Guilded Missle Destroyer. We would pick up those pesky jarheads from a larger ship. They would eat us out of house & home, take over the mess decks for their own, run around the decks like their pants were on fire and generally be a pain in the pants. Then we would take them off the coast of some island and they would blow up their little rubber boats, get themselves all painted up, and in the dead of the night go overboard and paddle away. We would never see them again. The got extracted by a helo or took over a Club Med Hotel, who knows. I was just glad they were gone! lol

Going over the side, especailly at night was something I was taught never to do. Then again, I didn't have a rubber dingy! Pretty cool stuff Marines.
