The Man Of The House Won The BATTLE!=)

O.K. Guys, last night I showed my "wife" some of your trucks. First I was apuled by her remarks!
"I DON'T SEE ANY DIFFERANCE?"
" NOW THAT LOOKS STUPID"
" THAT ONE LOOKS NO DIFFERANT THAN YOURS?" ( Same truck but it had a 4.5 lift w/35', I think it was SHACKER'S)
" WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH A RIG LIKE THAT"?

: You get the point, I can't be the only one with a wife like this? Or can I??? ??? Anywho, we talked for a bit and she finally broke down! ;D... She said and I "quote". "If you can buy this stuff with out getting into our normal funds, go ahead, just don't kill the truck!
Well now I just happen to have a nice large river boat for sale and it's getting that time of year up here when the guy's start to freak out over fishing season ( me included ). The boat is up for $22,000.00, I will probly get around $19,000.00, minus $9,000.00 for a new smaller boat ( can't go with out!) that leaves me with $10,000.00 for goodies on the truck! ...
I will first start with 2.5 lift, 33x12.50x17, maybe a new scoop hood, and was thinking aftermarket truck seat's...

Here is where you guys come into play, give me some idea's??
I will probly start with straight exhuast and see what I think, I can allways stuff a muffler back under it, but what are some of your thought's????? Have fun with this but be kinda practical.

I must be lucky.

Last fall we were truck shopping and I was only looking at autos. Although the wife doesn't drive it a lot, she does use the truck now and then. I didn't think she would want a stick.

I ran across my current truck by chance here at a small town Chevy dealership. It had been sitting there for months next to a bunch of MaxiPads. Hadn't been test driven in more than a month. They were desperate to get rid of it.

I told them I would drive it but that I was only interested in autos because of the wife.

I took the wife out and drove it. She had already driven a dozen CTD autos but she was curious what a manual in a truck would drive like. She drove it for about twenty minutes including a little jaunt over a back country road where we could make sure the 4 low worked. About 10 minutes into the drive, she looked at me and said, "you're buying this truck, it's got *****."

We took it back to the dealership and I convinced them that I really wasn't interersted since the wife hates sticks. They offered it to me for a ridiculous price. I offered them even less and they blew me away by taking it.

On the way home, my wife's first question was "so what are you going to do to it first?"

What a woman!

If you have any left over, I could use some new rims.

Did you win the War?

Please take a word of advice from one who has been there and done that - - many times.

I have won many battles - - - and lost the war. :'( :'(

Thank God for a gentle and forgiving wife.

Fortunately, I have a wife like catsfan. My first Dodge CTD wa the '99, which she suggested to buy if we could afford it because she was tired of everyone passing us on the highway with the old 19' Travel trailer; last fall, I let her hear one of the new '03's, and she liked the quietness and told me to sell the old one to our youngest son for his farm and order a new '03 - even told me to spend the extra $$$ on the Jacobs Ebrake!!! What a wife! ;D ;D ;D
