well get this, i technically "bought" my cummins last tuesday, but im not picking it up until this saturday (8/26/06). I will ask them to fill my tank for me, but if they dont i wont be too upset since its a used truck im buying and not a new (maybe that shouldnt make a diff) but yeah, thats 5 days between buying and driving it home. haha!

I usually like to argue with them for a few hours, showing everything I've found on line and bring other dealers best prices. Then I tell them how unsure I am that I want to get rid of my old truck. Usually start to leave when they tell me that is their best price. I have had them call me at home for a couple of days afterward. My wife hates to go with me. I am usually not a bargainer, but I look at car dealers as a personal contest.

thats actually a really good idea, then youll know which dealer gives you the best price for the future

i originally was going to buy an 05 ford f250 crew cab long bed 4x4 diesel 6speed....the morons that i was dealing w/ were givng me the run around for 2 days......the 2nd day rolled around i got online and looked up benny boyd dodge in lampasas it was about 6 i found the truck i wanted....they did a credit application over the phone told me to come in the next day i did, crunched some numbers took it out for lunch, got everything straight and they dropped it off at the house on a wrecker the next day w/ a tank of fuel,paper plates and detailed.
