RamThat, what would be the point of the V10 if the rumored 6.1 will be making those numbers? Not that I'd be complaining....

Post of pic of that baby. I'd like to see it. That's not a bad price. If I could get the right price for my Neon, and convince "the better half" (perhaps harder than finding Saddam Hussein), it sound interesting. Especially 'cause it's a 5-speed. Or better yet, send me a PM. Thanks.

 

A guy I work with has a V10. Great truck but it gets no where near 14mpg.

 

Wexman, here is a pic, I drove it home last night in the rain so it is a little dirty. Its got brand new rubber on it. <br><br>Holstienman, is your buddys truck an automatic? I had a ton automatic dually and I couldn't make it get better than about 11-12. But this truck being a 5-speed, and if you drive it without a lead foot(hard to do) it'll do right up there at 13-14.<br><br>Ramthatstroker, Dodge has not told us anything about a 6.1 Hemi. I too have heard the rumor from truck trend, but I usually don't believe those magazines until Dodge comes out with some firm info to back it up. As of today, I can still order V-10's, Dodge has not told us if, or when they plan to discontinue it, nor have they told us off their plans for a replacement.

A Hemi V-10 would be 8).

 

My father has a '96 2500 v-10. I would not ever hesitate to buy one, over 100,000 miles with the only problem being the snap ring in the transfer case. I have towed and raced the thing and it is one tough mother. The milage was no worse than the 360 in our durango. Probably between 10-14.

 

Luke - <br><br>Thanks for posting the pic. I've got to run some numbers this weekend, and get a feel for what I could get for my Neon. This truck really intrigues me cause it's a 5-speed , and you have a better chance of finding OBL than V10 5 speed 4x4.<br><br>
