Lost a friend.

Rough night last night. Had to put down my old dog. I've had him since he was a pup 13 years ago. Pretty much all of my adult life.

Attachment 22335

Crazy dog used to eat pop cans, floppy disks, power cords and brand new boots. Coulda killed him back then but he grew out of that and now I miss him.

Thanks everyone. The hardest part was explaining to the kids why he wasn't comming home. They are only 4 and 6. Both woke up this morning and asked where he was.

Wow, sorry to hear this! Hope you and your family can get over the loss soon, and best of luck when you decide to find a new dog. Amazing what having a pet can do for you in so many ways...

I feel ya, I also had to put down my dog yesterday. Had his mother for around 13 years, and then him for 12 years. It was a good time all around. So yeah man, I feel your pain.

Put down my dog 3 years ago, and my cat a month ago. Nothing I've experienced in my life has been as hard as either of those. I've lost a lot of loved ones, and the only ones left are my parents. Not expecting that to be any easier either.

I think I'm gonna take the loss of my current dog worse than any animal I've had before.

Sorry to hear about your loss. The easiest way to accept it is to fill the void with another pet. I don't say replace, because you can never replace them.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It is never easy to say good-bye to a 4 legged family member. I've been in your shoes, and it isn't easy. Keith

I had to put mine down a year ago. She was one of the most gentile creatures God ever put on this earth. It was getting harder for her to move with the hip problems and started to lose her hearing towards the end, and the humidity was torture on her. I still look for her to come running around the corner of the house when I am doing yard work.
