We've lost a friend

A person has left us that I believe touched many of us in the diesel
community over the years. John Wind died this past weekend after his
battle with cancer came to an end.

John, many would remember as the guy that transported the ATS trucks
and equipment to shows, was one of the early guys I met in this great
sport of ours and ALWAYS was smiling. It was 2002 and he drove from
Denver to Atlanta to be a part of my 1st event at Atlanta Dragway.
John was always offering help where ever he could, always had a good
joke, and was generally one of those kinds of people you enjoyed
spending time with. A good friend of Clint Cannon's and a member of
the ATS family, I am sure many are saying prayers all across the US.

I was made aware of his cancer last year. He was positive about life
still and believed the lord would be with him now and in eternity. I
never heard John say anything negative about what he was facing,
always positive.

I will miss you my friend.

I didn't know him but he sounds like a heck of a guy. My best wishes to his family and friends in their time of grief.

Sorry to hear that David. He's only gone if we forget about him.

I'm very sad to hear this news. I only met John last year but he was a very friendly person and kept a positive attitude towards what was facing him.
