F (farm) tags are $37.50 for up to 85,000 lbs. Minor restrictions are involved, 300 mile radius, no more than three operators, agri equipment/products, stuff like that. Regular tags for my truck are $27.00 and autos are ~ $17.50.

shortround out

In KY you pay a % of the value of the truck set my the PVA office they call it a property tax. I ran farm plates which don't cost any more then running reg truck plates. Got to pay every March with farm tags or by your birthday with running reg truck plates.

Re:License Plate Fee's
Well, a couple of years ago, my truck tags would have been in the neighborhood of about $650.00. Thanks to a vehicle tax reform, we got the tags knocked down to more like Oregon's. Not as good but definitely better. $68.00 this year. I'm more than happy with that. My parents, who immigrated to Texas, definitely love it there for vehicle tags. They're always rubbing it in. I'll thank you gentlemen ( is there such a thing) who hail from Texas not to add to that gloating. At least they're hiding in Brownsville.

Hey, Happy New Years and may the new year bring you many blessed bombings.

~Dave
