License Plate Fee's
Re:License Plate Fee's
I don't know whether this is applicable:
My truck costs me:
Engine Tax: 650,62 EUR / year
Insurance: 784,88 EUR / year ( against claims from others whom I did damage- maybe somebody could give me the right vocabulary ;D )
Insurance : 917,36 EUR / year ( against damages caused by me on my truck)
Plus 73 EUR/ year highway fee.
Plus EUR 0,799/ Liter Diesel- About 55% of the prices are taxes.
Oh well 1 EUR = 1,04 US$
So maybe this gives you some grins

Oh, by the way, did I mention 54% income tax >

Well compared to some of you guys I guess I don't have it to bad for my 3500, rated at 11,000 gross. Here in Pa. it casts me $198.00 per year. ??????????? I forget which one of you said your rated for 20,000 gross How is that.
[/quote]
That's 20,000 pounds GCVW, the max the manufacturer recommends. DMV wouldn't let me go higher than that.
In Virginia:
4% sales tax at purchase (I think)
$167 per year for liscense
$15 per year for state inspection
$998 per year personal property tax to county
$168 per year personal property tax to town
$10 per year for town sticker
$109 per month for insurance
plus a few more I can't think ofright now because I'm seeing red. I don't mind paying my fare share but this is ridiculous.
Anyone care to top this?

I also live in MN. Called the center for the plate fee and the woman didn't know for sure but it sounded like it would be at least 175.00. I also have to come up with 6.5% of 31,700 which I paid for the vehicle as it was bought in wis. and I have to pay the plate fee on this side of the river.

HG,<br>The limit on miles is just a state thing. I'm sure it varies from state to state. I've never even heard of the police enforcing the rule.<br>The F tag covers just about anything related to agriculture, but it has to be owner/operator. For instance, I can haul my own cows to market and not worry about having to upgrade tags because of weight, however, if I have someone else haul them, the tag has to match the load capacity.

of suing people after traffic accidents for medical treatment whether the individual is injured or not. We have far too many lawyers per capita, so the courts in this and many other instances are treated as a lottery system.

jfpointer- <br><br>I think tha there are no tax revolts over here because we are just too darn lazy to get up from our .... you know a revolution could be some hassle. <br>Yes sometimes we may keep some of the cash. 2 years ago they made up a tax on the incomes from saving. A meagre 25% cut here.. <br><br>Over here the liability insurance has to cover anything that is the result of an accident that was my responsibility. So the claims you mentioned would be against the insurance. But I'm not scared of lawyers... They can have the whole $3.48 US that I actually have in my pocket.
