I've expressed myself many times about how I feel about this site, and I am not going to repeat myself. Top and some of the others have already expressed my sentiments more elequently than I could.

Jack, you have the full support of THOUSANDS of family members that are the DTR. Don't let a few malcontents rob you of sleep at night. Know that we will be there for you.

Well I will put a little different slant on this issue. I would be surprised if there weren’t those that were complaining about something to do with the board. Reason is this that I have learned in my life. Whenever you do anything that is in the public eye, there will be serious complaints from some group or individuals. I had it as ARRL Emergency Coordinator, and while working with the Masonic Lodges; I get it seriously as a Mayor. Any endeavor that is public draws this out and you can just ignore it. Every religion gets it; any group or charity gets constant complaints. Either you stay under a rock somewhere or there will be narrow-minded idiots moaning and complaining. Jack just shrug it off and go on. You know what you are doing here, the efforts the sacrifices, so do most that reap the benefits of your labors. Thanks Jack, you are doing a great job that results in knowledge and enjoyment to many and definitely including me.

 

You know me and a fella here at work were talking about something last night that could be related to this thread! We were saying how as a whole the majority of people in society are kind honest and good people and then there those very few wh o ruin everything for all of us!! That sort of applies here too as a whole all of us DTRians are kind honest people who love our trucks and want to be here to make friends and have fun!...Then you have a few individuals who have got to complain and raise He11 and ruin things for us these people really chap my @$$!! Do they ever stop and think...Hmm is there really that much to complain about i mean this is a free site and all some one...Jack Thorpe...Works hard day in and day out and puts up a lot of his OWN hard earned money to keep this site free and wholesome and informational and fun! This is HIS site and when he does something it doesnt have to be a majority vote to see if he does the right thing it is HIS OWN decision!! He runs the show he pays the bills HE makes the RULES!!!! Whenever i hear of one of you trouble makers goin oh jack need a few grand for a new server....here ya go this one is on me!!! Need to buy more bandwidth dont worry about it let me write you a check!! I dont see too many of us good honest people doing that yet you also dont see us complaining!!! Now it is the holidays and all and i plan to send Jack a check for waht to me is a substantional amount of $$ but i am sure it wont even dent the cash he has put up for this place and you also wont hear me complaining about where my money goes...If he wants to use it for the site great if he wants to use it to buy somehting for himself or family fine by me if he wants to throw it out the window..that is his business..I am not complaining i am sure jack has used enough of his OWN money for this site it wont hurt for some to go back in his OWN pocket!! I will also not make it my duty to complain about the way this site is ran or about anythingelse on this site for that matter!!!!! Also i would not advise that ANYONE make it their duty to complain a little constructive criticism is one thing but until I see the title OFFICIAL CRITIC or OFFICAIL PIA under your user name i dont think it helps you or anyone else to go B**ching about how Jack runs this show!! To echo many others, thanks Jack.<br><br>Why anyone would want to complain about what seems to be a fairly common sense approach to an endeavor such as this is beyond me, except as HID pointed out, some will just because that's what they do, although they will not attempt a like venture themselves.<br><br>I like our DTR family; why is it growing if it's so horrible?<br><br>Rob
