Last Buckaroo

I know there are a few cowboys here, even some with flat hats.
If you want to reminisce, and get that feeling again about days gone by, or get a feel for the real deal, there is no better way than this book to get you to that place, unless, of course you're young enough, and privileged enough to walk the walk.
This classic is in print again...http://www.lastbuckaroo.com/
Truly a lifestyle few have known....

I can't look. I have OCD and I have a few other guns I want to work on and some "essential" projects before I start drooling over Colt's again.

If you want a taste of real cowboy life head on out to Soldier Meadows Ranch at the north end of the Black Rock Desert -north of Gerlach Nevada. This was an original Calvery outpost. They still do it the old fashioned way. Mackey was there years ago when we went there for a week of riding on our horses.

Thanks I ordered it.
Not too many real cowmen left in the world.
My great uncle carried the keys to the 6666 ranch in Guthrie TX. When I was a kid got meet a lot of real characters.

I lived in the Paradise Valley area where some of this book was written. I remember some of the folks from the little bit I've read on the site and I'm sure I knew many others at the time.

I've hauled cows to and from Soldier Meadows and hauled hay from Bottle Creek.
