Give the robbers family a little time and they will figure out how to sue the innocent homeowner for some silly lack of posting a sign a that says dont shoot yourself on my property, or something along those lines. The homeowner should have been there to perform first aid and/or call 911.

I wouldn't doubt it a bit.

What happened to take responsibility for your own actions? I suppose the general public is caught up in making a lazy buck so they can sit around, instead of getting off their but and working for a living.

Perhaps this should be posted in the "You Failed" thread.

And reading the comments on the new article...not much sympathy to be had for this guy.

hard to have sympathy for the kid, being as that he was not only burglarizing the place, but was carrying a gun. the same way this 'firearms expert' accidently shot himself, he could have just as easily accidently shot the homeowner or his kids.

Oh I'm not saying that I think he should get any sympathy, but usually when you read the comments on a story like this, there is always someone out there talking about how "it wasn't his fault", "someone should have done something", blah, blah, blah....

Most of the comments were "Why can't we have more go this way?", "Save our tax dollars"...
