Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) STOL

Here is a link on the JSF STOL first flight. Underneath the photo there are two links, one is a high resolution photo and the other is a video...
Now it is time to blow my own horn ...I did all the mechanical design checking for the Helmet Mounted Display for this aircraft .

I read the test results for that first flight and they said everything worked quite well except for one small glitch.....The helmet sighting system kept flashing a small DTR icon on the visor from time to time

I heard the the siting system uses a triangle with the Ram, PSD, and GMC as the points. Keith

Interesting that Tomlinson did not retract the landing gear.

On first flights, SOP is to leave the gear down.
