Jeep...do you miss yours?
I've been missing my Jeep a lot lately, especially with the warmer weather coming. I had a 05 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in Impact Orange (I think I'm gonna repaint my CTD that color). So anyways, any of you guys ever had one and regret ever getting rid of it? Pics are welcome.

DTR's 'Go to Guy'
I've had numberous Jeeps.......miss them all in one way or another, but as Fronty said......don't want one as a DD ( CJ/YJ/TJ at least) . Cherokees were the ones I liked the most, but not as off road friendly as the CJ and YJ's I owned. Just a little too long.

Yeah, it did kinda suck as a daily driver, but dang it was fun. Parts were cheaper too Tell you what though, I test drove a new JK wrangler a few months ago, and I could definately daily drive that. They ride and handle so much better than even the TJ's.

For those with early dodge 4x4s, imagine that ride, except with about 1/2 the wheel base. Every bump felt like it wanted to bounce sideways.

My Fiance used to have a 94 Wrangler YJ. It's was her DD, but it's just wasn't the best for taking on road trips when it's tops out at 55 mph, and a little cold with only being a soft top. Decided to trade it off for a 94 full size Bronco that is spotless. Needless to say we never realized how much we would miss the ole jeep. It's deffinitely not the best DD, but for a weekend cruiser it was great. I've decided when i get my truck paid off in another two years then i'm going to look into getting a newer TJ. I'm a very avid off roader and love taking my toys out to play, but nothing really compares to a jeep. I'll drive it almost daily to work when the weather permits and keep my truck for the heavy duty stuff.

I think we are going to go with a JK for a daily driver but it will be a hardtop model with the new 3 piece hardtop. Those are daily driveable to us.

I miss my old CJ7 every summer... but it wasn't worth keeping if I had to drive it in the winter, with all the leaks where air could get in, it never warmed up, and even with the 4.09 gears I still couldn't top 55mph with the original motor.
But with 4wd and both lockers kicked on, the steamroller sized Swampers would pull you through anything. I got it stuck once the whole 2 years I drove it and it was so bad my old man's Power Wagon couldn't get back to where I was to hook the winch to me. I ended up having to go to my buddies house and borrowing his old Allis Chalmers Tractor to yank my stuck Jeep out... What a long day.

My dad bought me a jeep when i turned 15 i came home from DMV and he had it waiting on me. 1979 CJ7 304 4spd with granny gear dont see many of these. i drove it everyday for 10years. I started with a 3 in body lift and shackle lift and add 35's. Then i had the motor built. Then i did a spring over axle and went to 18/44's. I still have it and i need to drive it or sell it. I took some springs out and set it back on a set of 35's. I kinda wish i still had it on 44's.

I've had all sorts of Jeeps, and miss them all. Though now I've got an 85 CJ7 (My bondobucket) and an 88 Wagoneer. The one I miss the most is my 98TJ, pics included.
And one just for fun. Miss this too.

you guys should try a regular convertible.
we had a 2005 UnLimited Rubicon. (whatever the long wheelbase one was, see how much i liked it)
11~13mpg and a 11 (?) gallon tank meant a gas stop EVERY other day or ELSE push it.
it had the 4.0 six cylinder and the Six Speed (the M6 actually had lower overall ratios than the auto, and worse MPG, per the forums)
it got real old stopping to get gas constantly.
we have a convertible with a power top, so the novelty of ripping off the top & trying to keep it safe, from being scratched, or flapping around, wore off pretty quick.
we sold it. it looks good, but the MPG was un-bearable.
the Limited was Ok in the ride department.
ours was black, and it looked AWESOME.
just craptacular gas MPG
