Jackson
I say Very little difference in the two.
That is almost impossible to do in a case with no hard evidence, like this one.
The defense tries to portray the defendant as a really nice guy who would never do something like that.
Easy to do, who dosen't love Michael... The defense gets to play on emotions, the prosecution doesn't.

man it's cold here in little rock. 6 inches on the ground and still falling
to all of those who think he is innocent. i bet you wouldn't let your child spend the night at neverland. so if you wouldn't do that then you must have some doubt. but everyone is right about one thing, they counldn't prove it in court and that's what counts.
take care guys.

I was able to moon walk once.....but somebody was shooting at me at the time
I didn't take the time to read the first however many pages there are of this thread so maybe someone has said this, but I'll tell y'all the same thing I told my wife when the trial first began. I said from the beginning that if he did it then I hope he is convicted, but if he didn't then I hope he is acquitted.
Since none of us were on the jury and didn't see the evidence to say for sure, I sincerely hope that he was acquitted because the evidence said he was innocent and not because there just wasn't enough evidence to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. On one hand I think the man is a freak and is capable of anything, but on the other hand I like to think that our justice system wouldn't let someone get away with child molestation no matter WHO they are. I HOPE that he really is innocent and that the people who have brought allegations against him only did it for the money. However, IF he did what he was accused of, he WILL have to stand before God and account for those sins. The judgement handed down from God will be far worse than anything our justice system could have done to him.

I do think that a system of justice that keeps you free unless proven guilty is vastly superior to one where you have to prove that you are innocent. IMHO the press on that special case was on a kind of witchhunt.
Naturally the system that we have now will let some of the guilty stay out of prison (I don't have an opinion on MJ's guilt or non guilt), but all other systems killed innocents in very large numbers.

Another thing about Michael Jackson... How many rumors and urban legends have targeted him over the years?
I mean, gossip hangs to the man like dog doo... Rumors about Michael Jackson, let's see... Hmm... He was Diana Ross' backup singer... He has a shrine to Elizabeth Taylor in his home... He is attempting to be transformed into Diana Ross through plastic surgery... He has an insane pet chimp named Bubbles... He tried to buy the bones to the elephant man... And oh, yeah, he and LaTonya Jackson are the same person...
Anything that targets Michael Jackson is not necessarily true, and he has a giant history of being targeted with this stuff.

none of us KNOWS if he is guilty. Most of the negative impressions we have about him were heard from people who did not like-or at least believed he was guilty, or people intolerant of people who have different values than themselves
he seems to be different than what most of us beilieve is the norm , but there is probably a thing or two weird about most everybody. Fortunatly , we are not is the limelight and being scutinized by all the "do gooders " we get the bulk of our information (or propaganda ) from.

For the religous types, "He who go without sin may cast the first stone" (or something to that effect). So, say he DID commit a crime? We all sit back and Judge him as if WE were the higher power now? Uh unn, that's not what the good book says........................
People can Swear up and down, on stack of Bibles. Unless someone either (is) that child or was in the room when it occured, he is Innocent until PROVEN guilty by our standards.
Many years ago as a college student, I sat on the jury of a murder trial; it was there that I learned that our court system has a clear framework in which it must follow and one that the jurors are tasked to adhere too. Like it or not, this is part of what makes our country great.
It appears there are alot of sea-lawyers in our midst who never have had the opportunity to see the system run. The burden of proof was in the hands of the prosecution. Keeping that framework in mind; they had a weak case and let their emotions run amuck when making a decision to prosecute. The jury made a pretty quick decision and it wasn't a hung jury - that says something in and of itself.
This event is also a good showcase on the power of the press; and its ability and desire to make news rather than reporting it.
Now we'll get to watch the bottom feeders in action when they go for civil action.

There are not a lot of better examples that America is the land of opportunity than Michael Jackson. Where else can you be born a poor black boy and die a rich white woman?
Now that's opportunity baby!
