There was not enough evidence to convict him. Simple as that. "IF" he did do it the parents should also be held responsible because they knew about his past.

Okay... one last time.

He admitted to sleeping with boys!!!!

What other proof did they need. Now today he has come out and said that he will not sleep with boys anymore. He did it. He admitted to it on national TV no less. Now those that want to blame the prosecution because of a weak case I beg to differ.

Now if you or I tried to invite small boys to one of our houses with the intent to share our bed with them you know as well as I do we would be locked up for a very long time (and would rightly deserve to be). Like I said before. If I were going to do a crime I would do it in California.

So you never slept in the same bed with yur mommy or daddy when you were little?

I know I did when I had a nightmare or a monster looking in my window... Or at least I'd try...

If my mommy or daddy looked like Mr. Jackson, I'd have nightmares too.

With all due respect, sleeping with boys and SLEEPING with boys are two very different things. If he were just sleeping with them, although it seems very weird to me and perhaps inappropriate, there is nothing legally wrong with that. If he actually MOLESTED them then that is a whole different ballgame. What he admitted to was sleeping with them....as in they slept in the same bed together. As weird as that may seem to us, there is nothing illegal about sharing your bed with someone.

I don't know if you were talking directly to me when you made that statement, but since I am one of the "religious types" then I'll assume you were. If so, you should go back and re-read my post. I made no judgement about anyone.

There is weird and then there is WIERD ... and Michael Jackson sleeping with little boys, who aren't even remotely related to him, let alone his own kids ... is REALLY WEIRD !!!!

The Child Protective System folks would be on us like PETA at a baby seal massacre if we were to publically admit to something like that. $$ talks.

And even though he will end up in front of the Big Man on his day of reconning (sp) ... it doesn't fix what he has done to the kids impressionable young minds already.

People can Swear up and down, on stack of Bibles. Unless someone either (is) that child or was in the room when it occured, he is Innocent until PROVEN guilty by our standards.
so i guess we should just let murderers run around, because it is not our job to judge them? come aw, i belive it is my job as a husband and father to judge people, for my familys sake and socitys sake. i find that the liberals wil side with anything as long as they don't have to take a real stand on anything. it takes back bone to call something as we see it. many consider me a redneck, and to tell the truth that would have made me mad 15 years ago. now i consider it a badge of honor. if you don't want the straight up truth don't ask me.
every one knows michael jackson is guilty of more than a few felonies, there is no doubt to that. but as i stated at the first of this,he would walk. child molestation is a pretty hard charge to prove without physical proof. the main witness is a sorry excuse of a mother that has greed for money that is all but unbeliveable. she should be locked up for whoring her child out for money.

Man… if you add me to your signature I will be the most popular liberal on DTR. I mostly agree with you on this subject. While I don’t believe that it is my place to judge anyone else, I do believe that M.J. is guilty as he can be. I do consider myself a true liberal (as most of you know) but I will always take a side when something is obliviously askew. While I would never consider being called a “redneck” a badge of honor I do respect you being upfront with your opinions. Just as I respect anyone else’s opinion.

Contrary to Hoss’s post, I believe that if you or I or anyone else on this forum were to invite little boys over to spend the night and sleep in our beds we would be locked away for good (rightfully so). I will state again that I wasn’t in the courtroom during the trial and there may have been some new information brought up that I don’t know about but I still (in my personal opinion) believe he is guilty (just as the majority of the public believes he is). When you invite young boys to spend the night in your bed because you think “it is the most loving thing that you can do for a child” then something is seriously wrong with you. But I also agree with you on the mother of the accuser. She is obliviously a money grubbing Self Edited. But we have to remember that this was a Criminal trial. The Civil trial will come shortly.

When I was growing up (in the 80’s) Michael Jackson was one of the most popular entertainers around. The “Thriller” album is still one of the biggest selling albums ever. While I was cleaning out one of my garages (because we are selling our house) I found my old “Thriller” LP in perfect condition. Like Mike Meyers said in “Wayne’s World” about “Frampton Comes Alive” I believe if you grew up in the 80’s you were issued “Thriller” in the mail. Michael Jackson is no doubt a musical genius. I “HATE” to see him now. I remember him when I was growing up. He was unbelievable. What happened to him???? I mean look at him now. He looks horrible!!!!! Liberal or not… there is something seriously wrong with him and I hate to see it.
