it just seems strange to me that he actually admited that he sleeps with little boys on national tv. "one of the most loving things you can do is share your bed with a child" or something close to that he was quoted as saying. obiviously something is going on. this was the second time he was accused of the same thing. he paid off the first one. but there is starting to be pattern here.

oh well... life goes on.

britt

Actually he was covered by Travelers Insurance company and travelers settled the case out of court. Argument being that it was cheaper to settle out of court than to lose the monies he would lose in revenue for concerts--recordings ect.
there was never an admission of wrong doing

He was essentially found guilty because Laceys body washed up in the body of water that Scott himself told investigaters he was fishing. Everything else was circumstantial.

Right on Herb, the only thing the prosecution proved beyond a doubt is that MJ is weird, as if we didn't already know that.
Jury of his peers? What a joke that was, not one single blk person on the jury, unlike the OJ trial.

not guilty not guilty not guilty
get over it

BTW MJ was blk once upon a time, thought I'd throw that in before one of you snake diggers picked up that fumble and ran with it

This will probably be a very unpopular opinion on this board, but I am glad he got off. I am sickened by the amout of tax money spent trying to cure a symptom. Bottom line is that MJ is as wacked as a three dollar bill, but he is not hanging around the park trying to lure kids into his car. He is apparently not a predator. I would much rather see the sick b------s that drop thier kids off at his house prosecuted for gross negligence and neglect. Forget the allegations of sexual abuse, tell me the name of the 40 year old single male ACQUAINTANCE that you would be willing to leave your kids with overnight. Even without the sexual abuse allegations this pegs the child neglect needle. I think the parents should fry. Did he do it? Probably. Will we ever know for sure? Probably not. What I do know FOR SURE is that by dropping the kids off for an unsupervised overnighter with a 40-something single male, child neglect has certainly taken place. Rant off.

Maybe in a civil trial. The only way I would agree he should be reimbursed for the cost of his criminal defense is if the allegations were proven to be false, and then the costs should be paid by the accuser. I have no regard for those who make false allegations, but I honestly believe that isn't the case here.

Okay, so it's fine if he only molests kids that the parents willingly drop off at his house? Why does he need to go to a park if he has home delivery? As far as I'm concerned, both the parents and Jackson should have been prosecuted, IMHO - Jackson for the molestation, and the parents for neglect at the very least, but endangerment would be a more appropriate charge.

As far as the amount of tax money spent, what choice did the prosecutor have? He is presented with a case involving serious allegations, and that appears to have sufficient evidence to obtain a conviction. Do you expect him to ignore it because the accused is a celebrity and can afford high priced defense attorneys and "experts," which will drive up the cost of prosecuting him? Gee, I guess we should just stop prosecuting the rich altogether since it will just cost the taxpayers too much.

Okay, I'm done now...this whole thing makes me sick.

Comment heard on the radio regarding the MJ trial;

I'm just glad we live in a country where prison is reserved for the really dangerous criminals... like Martha Stewart.

Uhhh Ohhhh.................

Very nicely stated points on here.

Liked the comments by Nevada.
Being "weird" is an American past time, not a crime by any means. I truly believe that if it wasn't for Ferhman>(sp?) the OJ trial may have gone the other way. Ashame there wasn't cameras in Jacksons Court Room. Did anyone see the SHOCKED looks on some of the defenses faces in the OJ trail???

The Jury of his "peers" thing is a GREAT point too. Good luck finding another soul that had the childhood that freak had. Exploited from a small child to support the family, and most likely AT LEAST physically if not mentally abused for years. There was 8 of them in a 850 Sq. Foot house at one point?? Thats Abuse!

ok, joke time

Michael Jackson was at a party with a pair of little boys underwear wrapped around his arm...another person asked MJ why he had the underwear....MJ says "my lawyer told me to keep away from cute little boys, so now I'm on the patch."

The molestation case is over, but the thing about MJ that bothers me the most is the video footage of him holding his baby out over the balcony at that hotel!! If one of us did that Social Services would have snatched our kids away so fast it would not have been funny. As far as I know he kept custody of his kids after that video was released??????????

Please explain this, I am baffled.

I agree that any parent that leaves a child at Neverland should be charged with child endangerment.
