Independent Health Ins
Independent Health Ins
Im graduating in a month and got a few job offers from larger companys with health ins but have been talking to a smaller compaines that I like a little better. One guy has offered to pay for my health ins if I get my own plan.
So which compaines should I look at and about how much should I expect to pay for health, dental and maybe vision?

I opted out of the plan at my job because the employee portion was getting too expensive. I went with a high deductible/HSA plan from Golden Rule, it costs me $70 a month which is much less than I was paying, plus my employer pays me what they would have been paying towards the insurance so I got a nice raise.
The plan I'm on only covers stuff like hospitalization and surgery, and my yearly deductible is $2700. I pay for doctor visits, prescriptions, etc. out of the HSA (which I pay into but it is pre-tax). But I'm young, single and healthy, no chronic medical issues so I spend less than $200 a year on medical expenses. Obviously somebody with medical problems or a family would want insurance with more coverage, but this plan saves me a lot of money while keeping a sudden illness or accident from bankrupting me.
