ins and outs of custom injectors

After a summer of truck pulling and engineering trials, I have decided to make some changes to the truck for next year. I'm thinking about twins and some big changes in the fuel system. I have engineered the new supply system but want to have new sticks ready when the time is right. Some of the association pullers offered to put me in touch with an outfit that custom laser cuts tips I just need to have a hole size and angle for them.

After running pods for a while notice that the idle hammer is not as loud as the 160 nozzle. Sure the pods pour out fuel and make the crowd go wild, but the 4 hole large sac tip just don't atomize the fuel like the bosch 6 hole does. Knowing how diesels burn fuel it just makes sense that I can harness more power per stroke with 6 hole nozzles. So I guess I need to know more about the 370 tips, yes I know they are smaller than pods overall (hole size and such) for a starting point. I plan on using the old 160 bodies as cores. Now heavy white smoke at idle is ok. But I want to have big fuel.

or what if i were to have the pods modified to 8 hole either start anyone

I'm pretty happy with the DPS edm'd injectors I have in my truck. They are a 6 hole with the pattern tightened up so you can run more timing and still put the fuel in the bowl. They idle clean once the cylnders get some heat, just a light haze when dead cold. I don't have near the air or timing I need to burn all the fuel they flow. Swank made 425 HP with the same ones. PM me if you want contact info for DPS

www.scheiddiesel.com made me a nice hot set. IIRC 370's are 5 hole. I would bet modded 370's wouldn't make anymore power than POD's. I would upgrade your turbo before injectors. Everyone wants big injectors but only has a hx35 or stock hybrid turbo which ain't makin no power. Get yourself a built s300 or s400 for pulling, then think injectors. JMO.
