Bigfoot, you are added to our list here as well! My wife's uncle (81) just fractured a hip so we are in standby mode for an amergency run to Minn., but know if nothing else we are all with you in spirit.

Best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery.

I spent the day with her today. The doctors say that the first room (on the right floor) that opens up is hers. So she should be moved out of ICU tomorrow. She would not let herself go to sleep last night until she could remember and say the names of all five of our grandkids.
She was a lot better today than yesterday. The doctors think she will be ok, that it will just take some time.

Thank you all for your prayers, God bless.

Bigfoot, One thing to keep in mind is that it may take up to a year before she remembers everything that she used to. It will be a long year, but you will adjust too. Hang in there. You can do it.

Good news, the Vets all seem to think that she will be out of the HP by the end of the week.
She seems to be able to remember everything, the only thing that she is having any problems with is speaking and even that is coming along very well. She is able to talk very well but cannot get some words out. No slurring of her words or anything like that, just that some words will not form.

Physically she is ok she is able to walk and has full use of her arms. Still on the IV but they are starting her on a blood thinner and as the levels of it come up they will stop the IV.
It will be up to the therapist and God as to how long the recovery time is going to be. All in all she got off light.

Sorry to hear about your wife. Not only am I a strong believer in prayer, I have seen the positive answers over and over again. I feel so sorry for the poor folks who turn their backs on God and refuse to acknowledge His supremacy and the creator of all. My wife and I will be praying not only for her speedy recovery, but also for the complete regaining of all her facilities.
This sad time just proves once again that each and every one of us need to be ready at ALL times to meet our God. To those of you just casually reading this, if you died in the next 57 seconds, are you ready?
Thanks bigfoot for giving us here at DTR the opportunity to pray for your wife.

Bigfoot- Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery to your wife from across the pond!
Me and my wife do wish you and yours the very best.
It will be a hard time to go through, but it will be rewarded. Sometimes only to be threatened to be bereft of somebody will let you fully appreciate this person. Show her your love- this is the best medicine man has, for the rest there's someone above.
