Okay I’m back among the living. My DSL has been down since Wednesday and we were so busy at the station on Thursday that I didn’t really get to reply like I wanted too. Well the DSL was fixed today and I am off work until tomorrow. My daughter is down at a friend’s house so now I have a little time to reply.

I work for the Little Rock Fire Dept. as a Captain on T-15 and I am a proud IAFF member of Local 34. I have been on the job for 13 years and I can’t imagine ever doing anything else with my life.

Here are a few of pictures of our truck:

And here is the station that I work at:

Here is our Website

Stay safe!

Britt

Here's some pics of the new apparatus that were purchased 01/04. I work on L-1, which is an E-One Hp-75, 450hp Cummins. The picture is of E-1, E-2 E-6, and L-4 which is a 95ft platform.

trust me, im kicking myself for not grabing my camera out of my truck. but there was nothing that happened last night that could ever be considered appropriate for the site unfortioinaly. i think im still a little drunk too! we all took a pic when we were at the bar but my hands are planted on two anatomical regions of these girls, so im not sure if that one would even fly. ill see if i can get it from somone...dang camera phones. we ran into some FDNY guys last night too and that was fun!

I guess I'll have to take pictures or my trucks now. I'm excited cause a new station is in the works and it's gonna be a double house. The station I'm at now is 35 years old. Time for a new one. Well only one call today. It was the usual, a MVA at 5 mph, and now someone's neck and back hurts. i was an expensive limosine driver today. And ***** that looks like a pretty cool station also.

Rusty I'm with ya, I felt horrible yesterday. but ate some good ol North Georgia Mountain food in Helen GA and I felt alot better.

Bringing back and old thread. Another Fireman here about to join the Dodge CTD club. I work for LACoFD and love it here. I am presently assigned to a Hazardous Material Squad but just got a bid to a tillered quint. This is the busiest house in Los Angeles County with the station running over 15k calls per year. Station has a Paramedic Engine, BLS Truck, Paramedic Squad, and a Battalion Chief at it. Should be lots of fun. Currently live in St. George, UT which is about a 360 mile commute to work. Picking up an 03 Dually 3500 4x4 and looking forward to having some fun with it. Here is a photo of our tillered truck.

well I cause I wreck in the med unit yesterday. it was my first. I was running lights and sirens when I stopped at an intersection to allow traffic to stop since I had the red. Well a BMW stopped but a cargo van didn't even hit the brakes and WAMMO!!!! creamed the back of the BMW. thank god no one was hurt though. so yall be careful out there.

I actually drive to work, 5.5 hours. Could fly but nearest airport is Vegas which is 2 hrs away so easier and cheaper to just keep on truckin. Also about helmets, I wear a Traditional Cairns Houston Leather Helmet. What's so funny about that?

Tiller trucks are great.... until you get them stuck in the ice and snow (which I guess is no problem in LA)

I spent 5 years on one and it is the best job on the F.D.

On a side note, I have been through St. George many times coming up from Vegas to Zion N.P. (probably my favorite N.P.)

in all the pics from california youll have those goofy looking hard hat style helmets! i love the tradition of a leather helmet but they are to heavy for me. we use the cairns 1010 and they are ok...not the greatest, but better than the old storm trooper style
