TOP needs to put a thumbnail and a URL link on the main index page saying:
"If ya want Power, BOMB a Cummins, if you need still more, see this link"
It IS a cool looking engine though, you gotta admit... But it'd be nice to get some NEW pix of the innards... Like a video walkthru tour of the upper crankcase area, then a startup sequence etc. ...

I was watching the History channel and they had a 11 cylinder version in a Hayooge Container ship. Something like 900+ft long 130ft wide, 2000ton engine . And the captain was saying " we can outrun any ship on the ocean, 30 knots fully loaded"

Mmmmmm .... maybe outrun any cargo ship but we got some pretty quick Navy ships that have classified speeds in excess of 60 knots. For big ships, nuke carriers can flat haul !!!

I have seen an LCAC go over 150 Knots. The Nimitz will go up above 65 mph. A Nimitz class carrier is the most powerful vehicle in the world. I think I am going to put a steam turbine in my truck.

Most Navy guys will tell you that when a carrier battle group puts to sea, the carrier has to throttle back so the rest of the ships can keep up.
65+mph while displacing 90K+ tons. Amazing.
