I really do not care!

I really do not care what your political views are, Republican or Democrat ,Liberal or Right Wing.

I do not care who wins an Academy Award, Emmy, Golden Globe, NBA, NFL, World Series or any of the other awards given to those who have and will not volunteer to give their lives for this country.(I honestly could not care less!!!!)

What I care about is the fact that I have a younger brother Matt who is,(Marine counter intelegence) ,"somewhere" in Iraq and who had a baby boy yesterday, who has never seen his father!

Matt, as I told your younger brother Aaron, don't make me come get you because I'll sell everything I own to come get you anytime, any day, anyway! (I have your back as always)

Come home safe and meet your son!

I salute all vets who have volunteered to give their lives for this country, right wrong or indifferent!!

Have a happy Memorial day and remember who gives you the freedoms that you have!

May Matt come safely home soon, and please thank Matt (and his family) for his sacrifice when you see him.

Thanks guys I really appreciate your sentiment!

The time has long since past to blame anyone for the conflict we all are in and accept the fact that we as a nation are at war.

I'm done playing with those who do not understand this fact!

My simple solution is, Quit your freaking whining unless you're willing to step up and give your life to do something about it!!

i hope he returns safely and soon. i have a 2 1/2 week old daughter and i can't imagine being away from her much less not even seening her for the first time.

but think of it this way, it will be a very happy homecoming for everyone.

i will think of him and the rest of the military often.

what did all of that have to do with runamuk's brother?

as far as i know this wasn't a political debate.

Spdbird, T-7 firefighter

Step dad is Airforce 35 yr Vietnam vet , Bio dad is 25 yr Police officer. Both happily retired now.

I have already had to save my younger brother Aaron (Marine, supply) as the truck he was in rolled while taking over the eastern airport near Bagdad. (Concussion with nerve damage).
I called him at Landstuhl Hospital in Germany and with the help of my German friends got him some new duds as his were cut off! (" I have my jacket and my gas mask") Not so funny 10k miles from home!
As I went to high school there, I had an emergency flight booked just in case.

Matthew, (Marine counter intelligence), is in country now and no news is good news as I've been told.

Rick

P.S. thanks for keeping this a political free post

runamuck,
Congrats on the new nephew and I pray your bro gets home safely to see him.
Our thoughts are with all the men and women who put it on the line for us. May they all return home safely.
