Thinking about ordering a Smarty as well.

Ha. Ha. Ha. Very funny Stan. Very funny. Unbeknownest to you, I cancelled the card and closed the account and the pay pal account so haha. I talked to pay pal and they are going to reimburse me the money as well as my bank. This is to easy. What's the catch?

so what do they do break your password?
They get your password through a phishing attack. They send you a fake email telling you something like your account will be closed unless you click the link and login. BINGO! they got your username and password.

Always forward ANY emails of this type to spoof@paypal.com. Paypal will NEVER send you an email telling you to click a link and login. This page tells you that a PayPal rep will never ask you for your password.

I have had PayPal and Ebay account for years and never had a problem because I don't respong to the phishing attacks.

Yup. I don't know how they got mine cause I don't answer those. I got it all taken care of. Had to close my account cause they actually got my account number, not card number, opened a new account, closed pay pal, get reimbursed, and jump through all the hoops. It was a pain but I get it solved and got my money back. Looks like the smarty is going to have to wait though.

That is one of the biggest reasons there. People use the same email and password for sites that are completely insecure, or ones that are easy targets.

Ive had paypal for about 4-5 years now, and have never had a problem. I keep a secure password thats totally random and not used with anything else online. That way if someone were to hack DTR and get my email and password, they cant login to paypal with it.

No catch, they are very easy to deal with as long as theres proof it wasnt you. IE shipping out of country, out of state, an unsual purchase, large ammounts of money, etc.

As long as you show them respect and act civil about the transaction, they do the same.

If it was someone in your hometown city that stole your info, then, youd probably have a difficult time getting it reversed!!

Remember to change all of your passwords now.

If you use the same password on multiple accounts, they can be hacked too. Change your online banking/bill passwords to something you can remember, but meets some password complexity requirements.

Try at a minimum 1 upper case letter, 1 special character, 1 number and at a minimum 8-9 characters in lenght. Something like:
G1@$$house for Glasshouse
Sp!d3rm@n for Spiderman
N3wY0rk! for New York minute

You get the idea. It makes it harder for you to log in, but it will prevent someone from getting your passwords to your banking info.

Someone stole my wife's credit cards once but I never reported it. They spent way less than she did.

HAHAHAHA. I just got an email from pay pal stating that the transaction I was trying to process was denied because of insufficient bank funds. Apparently Mr. Sabhir thinks that he's going to get his money from a bank account that no longer exists. HAHAHA.
