Hunting
Re:Hunting
5lb limit is ok for now, give that some time. You can do as much raising and lowering as possible. The less you scratch your butt , head, back or whatever now the less likely you'll be able to in a month. Don't let the tendons and ligaments shorten up and the muscles get even weaker than they already feel. Kinda like working the front transfer case wether you need 4 wheel or not, keeps things lubricated and from getting rusty. You will suffer a heck of a lot more if you allow any of the above to happen. I am about as qualified a doctor as I am a diesel mechanic, so make sure your asking for docs permission. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Now get off your butt and go to work. If you need me to aggrevate you into a fist fight or something just let me know.

Re:Hunting
dove season ended here last saturday...public fields.
Bagged no birds last two weeks :
I think I need to pattern the old B-80 and make sure she is shooting right. Actually, I know it's me, but this gives me a reason to get the gun out and shoot a little.

Slighfoxs3500 I wish we could get together for a fist fight
It would not be very fair though.......... I have been trying to work my arm as much as I can stand and it is just a real slow process. I just don't quite understand why it is so weak when it was not before the surgery on my neck Oh well when I see the neurosurgeon mabe he can tell me why. Give me a few months (I hope) then things will be more fair I hope!!! ;D ;D

Where dou you live, I like my odds beter now.
I think the body has a natural self defense mechanism to trauma. That and a bit of that psyhcobabble stuff about the subconscious. Don't sweat it, you'll be pitching bails, bells, bales or squares(hay) again in no time. Can't spell to save my life.

Re:Hunting
MnTom, you mentioned the weakness in your arm. About 6 years ago, doing something really dumb, I cracked three vertabrae in my neck. Would not let the docs put a rod in it, but as the healing took place, I had lots of numbness and weakness in my right arm. Neuro told me that the nerves were being pinched by the muscles trying to take over the job of the weak vertabrae. Once the inflamation went down, the arm started coming back. Like above, do what the docs say but use the arm as much as possible. I really did think I was done, but most things are back to normal. Hope this finds you doing better.
