Classic bad management. You can just imagine: all those employees who were using maybe 30 minutes of their break time will get the message that management are idiots, and start using all 48 minutes of their time, slowing things down even more.

Some people never learn.

The factory's 3,500 hourly workers are allowed 48 minutes per shift for such breaks.
Who spends 48 minutes in the bathroom for an 8 hour shift??

Yeah that seems like alot of time. I might spend 48 minutes in the bathroom in about 10 work days.

I still dont get it... at the bottom of that news link, they said automakers have been hurt this year from competition from asia.....

WTH, is going on, we have had competition from asia since the 70's, nothings changed, why dont the U.S. auto makers get the idea?

heh, 48 minutes for bathroom time in a day is quite a bit... man getting paid for 3/4's of an hour to read a magazine is pretty nice.

unless im confused and that means bathroom + lunch break, which would make sense.
