How do you say diesel?

I've got a TV tuner card in my computer and I was watching the country awards while surfing the DTR and saw the Duramax comercial. I noticed the way the guy said diesel. He pronounced it "deezel". I don't know about you guys, but I can't stand when people say it like that! I say it "dEsel". Maybe it's just a Chevy thing...

I was wondering how all you diesel heads say it and if your as uptight about how others pronounce it.

I know, I know, potato, patato.

...still drives me nuts.

Alright, Shania Twain is on, back to full screen with the country awards. Talk to you guys later.

Josh

The crazy guy in "The Roadwarrior" says deezel. I think it is more of an Australian thing, or at least started around there.

P.S. It does drive me nuts.

I think it is a regional thing, Americans pronounce things funny, like roof (say it like a dog barking) or rOOf (accent on the "OO&quot . Or how about vee-hickle (vehicle) :P
