Thanks for all the kind words. Fortunately, all of my kids take after their mother. I am, uh, challenged in the looks dept.

I tell you guys this, I owned a 96 Dodge before the Excursion, and both are good vehicles. I've never had any trouble with the EX, and the Dodge was very reliable for over 100k miles. But when the third kid came along, complete with three car seats, something with more room was in order. Can't knock either brand.

 

But WHY a V-10? come on man... ...i know how alot of these guys woulda' messed with you if it were a PSD.. Cute Kid!

 

I would have purchased a PSD if it had been available for a similar price, but I couldn't find what I wanted for what I could afford. To be honest, I get an average of 12 mpg, and that is mostly around town. A PSD wouldn't get more than a few mpg better. The V10 runs smooth and has plenty of power for me as I have no plans to pour a concrete slab in the back.

It is too bad Dodge doesn't make a bigger Durango and stuff a CTD in it. That would be a great travel vehicle/kid hauler.
