#53 block (prone to cracking)
weak injector pumps & lift pumps (im not saying mines any better.....lol)

Personally, I would not even consider one. Actually, im going to avoid the 24v alltogether. I am selling my 24v, and im gonna find me a 98 12v. This may take awhile, but Im gonna try.

Hoss,
63K ain't that hard to believe. I've had mine 18 months now, and haven't broken 10K yet.
I just moved out to the country though. My commute before was 9 miles round trip. It's closer to 52 now. I've changed the oil twice because the short trips couldn't be good for it.
If you go with the cheby, you're still gonna stick around to amuse us, right?

The Cheby is pretty much a no go because they aren't willing to come off of their price. I've contacted them about the Dodge but so far they haven't gotten back with me.

It's a little known fact that when I first joined up at this site I was a Ford man....so, no, if I do actually trade in for something other than a Dodge I won't be going anywhere. You can't get rid of me that easy.

That said....this is too much trouble. I think I'll just stick with what I've got. All this talk about cracked blocks and lift pumps makes me nervous about buying the Dodge.

I haven't seen any 12 valves around anywhere. Pardon my ignorance, but what's so special about the 12 valve trucks?

Bullet proof fuel system, unlike the 24V.

Hoss,

I've had mine since August 2002. It has 10,282 on it. I drive it just about daily but not too far.........back and forth to work, etc.

The one I traded in was eight years old and had 71,000+ on it. They are out there with low mileage.

My wife drives a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE. No problems with it. I like driving it.

Do what is best for you...........

Tom

Yeah, just by looking at the title and this post it's safe to assume that your true intentions were not to get rid of your Dodge. Come on, we're getting onto it by now. Like we didn't realize it was the 8 month 13 day anniversary of April Fools Day. Notice the 13. We got you, Hoss...

I'm sick of talking about the same old things all the time!! I propose that we ALL go trade our trucks in on new Ford diesels to liven things up a little!!

I think the $900 is for the toolbox in the back, the catch is you have to take the truck that it is attached to as part of the deal.
