Loss on the trade is still a question mark. I haven't asked anyone yet what they'll give me. My interest rate would be 4.59% on a three year note or 5.09% on a four year note.

Anyway, I'm just exploring my options right now. Nothing is certain. Fortunately, we don't HAVE to do anything. We are blessed in that our heads are well above water. We just thought we'd see if we could free up some cash. We'll have my wife's '02 Trailblazer paid off in March, but if I could do something to lower my truck payment then that's all the better.

Hoss. I have been thinking about doing the same thing. We now have 2 big trucks, and its hard to justify having them both. I have a hard time coming to grips with getting rid of mine though. I need something that gets better than 17 mpg, and doesent wander from lane to lane all day. man this thing is no fun to drive.

I have been thinking of getting a little 2wd 4cyl. Toyota., or a 2wd Reg.Cab 12valve. But I just dont know. This is a hard decision for me.

Whatever I do I know I will regret......

I don't think you should bother trading it. After all how much do you think you will get for it with your custom concrete bed liner.

Palmetto, I never could have justified having this truck in the first place. As I said, I don't NEED a one ton diesel pickup. My only justification came from the fact that it gets much better fuel mileage. However, now that diesel is 30 cents more than unleaded it's hard to sell that one.

I just can't make myself drive a Toyota. I looked at a used one a long time ago and everything just felt cramped inside. I need room to stretch my legs.

Hey Palm, I'll take that comp off your hands if you decide to get rid of it.

Hoss, I'm in the same boat as you...I rarely use the truck to its capacity, and I certainly could use some more money in my pocket! I did the calculations: With the current gas/diesel prices and the mileage I'd get w/ a 4 cylinder Toyota I can drive twice the miles and pay the same amount of money easily.

Yah hoss you should really think hard on the potential for maintenance on gasser remember 80k on gasser is probably equivalent to 300k on a ctd straight six
