you can't compare a 94 with a newer truck there is a huge difference in hp bone stock. cranking the star wheel does nothing for power try removing your fuel plate then see how fast it gets out of its own way and all of those other fords it was holding back. i've never heard of cranking a wastegate must be a ford thing, we block ours.

Richard is right. Fords are superior to Dodges - from what I can tell reading from the first gen owners to 3rd gen owners. Ford is superior in turning away loyal die-hard Ford families to the CTDs. Ford is better at looking a gift horse in the mouth and trashing one of the most proven and respected powerplants on the market for a maxed-out (ala DuraMax) 6.0L that is costing them valuable market share. My family and most that I know keep their trucks until they cost more to maintain than a new truck payment so Ford has lost us as customers for 7-10 yrs.

Every manufacturer produces lemons - for some reason with the 6.0L PSD Ford is producing lemons faster than their buyers can drink the lemonade.

See my sig - I own a Mustang, am saving to buy the mecca of all sports cars (an ERA GT-40). Wife wants an Excursion - but she'll have to settle for a nice used 2003 7.3L - can't buy a new one for the risk of the lemon potential.

I don't care what you say (Richard) - Coil sprung Dodges off-road better than leaf-sprung Fords.

Do me a favor, please:
Dump your CTD - buy a new 6.0L PSD. This will help ford clear them off the shelf faster and give them more money to develop another engine that will be worth it's salt or better yet bring back the 7.3L maybe even in 32 valve form - so I can buy my wife a new Excursion that she wants - because she don't want no used car - never had a new one - I want to give her what she wants - couch is getting old.....

Richard,

How much do you want for that broken old Dodge?? You know, the one that breaks all the time, gets stuck all the time, smokes too much, gets lousy mileage. I might want it.

Guys don't be so hard on Richard, I understand some of his feelings when I first had my truck I was disapointed in how it got around in the mud. Its weights alot more in the front than my other trucks did. It also had the wrong tires on it! I got stuck where I never had before But with the right tires its a diffrent truck Another thing if your going to rescue a lite truck in soft ground with a heavy one your looking for trouble

Aw, come on Richard. Dont let all of this store up inside you! I know you are reading these. I wouldn't mind having your truck either. What are you asking for it? I think I read on this very post that a few guys already said they'd buy it from you? Where did you have it posted at? in your garage?

My bro, in a drunked stooper, hooked his Jeep with 33" Swampers up to our buddies duallie Chevy. HAHHAH!!! I would loved to have seen that. It was in a buddies snow covered yard. Needless to say the Chevy drug him all over the yard.

anyone dumb enough to take their stock tired diesel in the mud and get stuck has no reason to complain............ITS A FREAKING DIESEL! go tow something instead, or put a box and injectors (or plate, GSK and injectors in this case) on it and go smoke ricers........

I cant stand getting tow calls like this, when we get them, you better believe your hookin up the wire rope yourself

CrimeDog has let the cat out of the bag. This is the tried and true secret to winning a pull off....

I was hoping you'd keep it to yourself though, now that I wave a truck I can actually win with
