Hole in Firewall

I have 2003 2500 4X4 can I drill a 1/2 hole through the firewall between the 2 bolts about 6 in. above the hood release cable. Looks like just a plastic plate in the eng. comparment, or is there a better place to go through.<br>Thanks

Re:Hole in Firewall

If you have an auto, just drill a hole in the cluch hole cover. Works real good.

Re:Hole in Firewall

There is already a hole and grommet on the firewall near the clutch pedal. Worked great for me. I'm sure its there on auto's too. No drilling required.

Re:Hole in Firewall

If the grommet is the same as those found on 02's, you can pop it out from the firewall from under the dash and work on it directly.
