Hole in Firewall

I have 2003 2500 4X4 can I drill a 1/2 hole through the firewall between the 2 bolts about 6 in. above the hood release cable. Looks like just a plastic plate in the eng. comparment, or is there a better place to go through.
Thanks

If you have an auto, just drill a hole in the cluch hole cover. Works real good.

There is already a hole and grommet on the firewall near the clutch pedal. Worked great for me. I'm sure its there on auto's too. No drilling required.

Little sharp knife and you have a hole.

KISSBob (hmmmm, better be good lookin' blonde [laugh] [laugh] )

If the grommet is the same as those found on 02's, you can pop it out from the firewall from under the dash and work on it directly.
