you just gotta call him from a diff phone than your own, work phone, get him to come give an estimate on some work.... ask him to bring a lot of samples that would require him to bring the truck he hit you with hopefully.... have the police on standby......

Cops probably also have the guy's name, and through their databases, his Tag number, address, home number, shirt size, favorite flavor of Jelly Bean, and the name of the 1st girl he kissed.

My Daughter was involved in a H&R a couple of months ago.
She gave the cops the tag number, they were waiting for him when he got home.

Good luck

Unless somebody actually seen the accdent happen, there is not much they are gonna be able to do. Depends on the cops and how aggressive they are/wanna be.

They could say that "we have a witness" in hopes that the guy will fess up, but like I said, unless you have a witness to the accident, and they are willing to make a statement as such, it will be his word against yours. And, based on the fact this knucklehead did not stop and notify you, we allready know what his word is worth.

Sorry for your misfortune, Kevn

The only way you'll probably get his address from a cell phone number, would be from their billing records. (They're not likey to give you that)

Do you have the guy's name?

Try a yahoo "people finder" search.

You have a quick thinking daughter there! Most people would watch the guy drive off and never even think of a plate number....... cause it happened to me! the cops found the vehicle after a two day search.

I was side swiped on the left side at the trailer tires (when I was driving a big truck) and the guy kept going. The only way I knew it was I saw it in the mirror. I got his plate number and called it in. I got a letter from the Minnesota State Patrol a couple of weeks later saying they cited him for driving after suspention, unsafe lane change, and leaving the scene of an accident. Turns out it was daddy's car and daddy was sitting at home watching tv when he got a call from the cops. I bet he was not a happy camper!!!
