The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution is what limits it to 2 terms.
H.J. RES. 24 is a bill introduced last year to repeal the 22nd Amendment.
It seems to be stalled, but who knows?

if we will be honest and look at the facts the economy was already headed down hill before bush took office. companys were laying off 6 to 8 months before.. i voted for bush but i do not like some of the things he is doing now. i submit if gore or kerry had gotten in we would be fighting on our soil instead of theirs. clinton had a chance to get usbl and blew it big time because he didnt have the guts to move.

Herb, com'on buddy, let's talk some reality - - and this is just discussion - - right - - nothing personal???? You make the statement "***** left a surplus". Let's see some comparisons between the two men and their decision making processes.
1) ***** and the Dem congress voted in the highest tax raises in the history of our nation while in a peacetime environment.
2) "W" and the Repub congress voted in sweeping tax reductions to get a stagnant economy up and going again that was in a point of deterioration at the time of the elections.
3) Somolia - - we are attacked by Islamic radicals and made to look like idiots due to no backbone to stand up for ourselves. ***** promised the offenders would be caught and prosecuted. THEY WERE NOT.
4) Arabia - - our barracks are attacked by Islamic radicals and over 200 Americans die. ***** promised the offenders would be caught and prosecuted. THEY WERE NOT.
5) One of the twin towers is bombed by Islamic radicals with many Americans being injured. ***** promised the offenders would be caught and prosecuted. THEY WERE NOT.
6) Three of our embassys are attacked by Islamic radicals with loss of life and property. ***** promised the offenders would be caught and prosecuted. THEY WERE NOT

Did the Congress and the Dems vote to go in? YES. Oh yeah, until they changed their minds.
3) Does going to war cost money? Obviously huge amounts of money. Can we expect to run a surplus with lowered taxes and in the middle of a war? You tell me!!!!
Now, what has that done for our country.
Saddam is history. The Taliban is struggling to come out of their caves. OBL and his bunch are hiding along with the Taliban and greatly crippled. The economy is in great shape. Taxes are way down. Unemployment is the lowest it has been in many years. Interest rates are way down from ******* time. I, and probably you, are in much better condition economically right now than I was 10 years ago. I can hold my head up high when I talk about my present president (and especially his "lady" of a wife) instead of try forget my previous president's immorality and code of ethics.
I liken the regime of ***** to how some treat their vehicle. They end up with a really good product, something someone else put a lot of intelligence and work into so they could drive it. They then make it look good on the outside, but drive it like we use the term "as if they rented it". Push it, abuse it and all that come in contact with it, don't take care of it, never look at the long term - - only the "now" is important. But, be sure it looks good. Just when it is ready to fall apart, get out of it and let someone else drive it. When it starts to break, blame the new driver for all the ills that were worked into it by the previous driver. That is ***** and his regime.
Has "W" done everything perfect? NO. Has he done good - - you bet. He is a man of ethics, empathy, guts and intelligence. I could be friends with him and be proud to have him at my side. So, excuse me if I say I sure don't want ***** and his wife back in the White House - - I think I would find some other country to visit for four years also. May God bless America and our president and forgive us for being so callous.

Amen Smart&GratefulBob, You nailed it right on the head. I lost friends in Somalia because ***** sent US over there but did not commit the armor and support they needed to get the job done.
Every military attempt by ***** was feeble and destined to fail from the start, by not dealing with the problem when it was in it's infant stage, thousands had to die on 9/11, The Cole, WTC bombing #1, Somalia, Arabia and even Bosnia.

Hey Herb, I dont know how to break it to you, but it will never happen. Im sure theres a bunch of die hard leftys out there that will run out on election day and vote for that woman, yourself included. Majority wont though
