I drag all my files into an "archive - mmm yy" folder every 6 months , then put that on a CD.

and just leave it on the HD, and you can search and find it,
and your "my documents" folder ain't so packed you can't navigate it.
but if you crash the computer, you have the CD.

but yeah, i put everything on a back up, at work and at home.
CD's are cheap.

I never did get it to work. Took it to my buddy's puter guy. He's building me a new tower (it was time for an upgrade anyway) and he's going to extract all of the information off the old one at the same time.

Even if I have to replace it, at least I have the necessary files off of mine that could have cost me my life! LOL Sorry to hear about is Festus! I was hoping for some light at the end of this tunnel!

Mine aren't so life threatening. I just have some pics of my niece on there that I haven't saved anywhere else and some other work files pretty much used for reference only.
