Re:Hay Prices
Glad I didn't sell my last 2 cutting of Alafafa that will last me this winter on my horses. I am getting some 1200# rolls from the older man that I am feeding for. I will drop one on the flat this as soon as we get the feeders calves out of the dry lot and move my horses back in there so they can waak in and out of the barn into this dry lot.
HG you are going to have to come down one day before it gets dark at 5:00. You can ride with me over to feed and then feed mine. That other farm that I took over is just 5 miles from me. If the roads get bad and I can't get out in the truck I can use the JD cab and drove over. That Kubota can't compear to our JD 2550 ;D

Earlier this fall I bout 200 round rolls of last years hay. It is timothy and red clover for 5 a roll. It is great hay. He had 300 rolls. I wish I would have bought it all.
Re:Hay Prices
Central Illinois area I am giving $3.00 a bale for square alfafa but it's getting hard to find. I also feed 1200# round bales of alfafa for horses and they are pretty steady at $45.00ea.<br> Cattle hay on the other hand, alot of farmers are still trying to get rid of last years hay because of that bumper crop. I can get 1200# grass round bales for $25.00 and up depending on quality.
