Very scary times... Thankfully I have good job security but my wife and I are getting worried about her job. Our bills are based on 2 incomes and if one of us losses our jobs things may get tight.

Tough and scary times.
My division in Beltsville is slow no design work coming in, my out is transferring to another division away from DC at ATK Elkton. Been doing their work onsite here, so I'm very lucky, I live pretty much in between. No layoffs but people leaving.
Wish much luck to all, it's gonna get worse...
PS I DO like donuts!!!

I am taking an effective 10% cut in pay. I am not complaining because I still have a job. My brother in law is a Teamster and took a 10% cut too... like he said: "90% of regular pay is better than 100% of unemployment". It is hard out there and I feel for those who have lost their jobs. I have been there.
I like donuts but cut them out due to the cut in pay.

I was laid off in Aug. of 2008. Started my current job Sept. of 2008 but at about 40% LESS pay. Luckily the wife is a nurse and able to get extra hours to help offset some of the pay cut. Her health insurance is better than what we had from my work also. I am not doing great, but not as bad as it could be.
I also started back to school. Figued I better do something to prepair for the future now.
Hope all gets better for everyone looking for work.

I joined the club in January. Luckily, I've been able to find some of my own clientele, and keep busy enough. The rest of the time, I'm painting the house, and fixing things I never had the time to.
You learn quickly how to readjust your standard of living... no buying toys, buying coffee at the donut shop every day, going back to waiting for things to be on sale or buying in bulk, consolidating your trips around town, etc.
Ok, who ate the last donut?!
