Smile Happiness is not necessarily winning a race..

I have this happen often, I am running with work loads and some 1500 or another diesel has to show off his stuff, show me how fast he is, I usually ignore them.

Yesterday on a four lane boulivard, with lights, a regular cab 24 valve pulling about a 10 foot tag along gets beside me and smokes me.

Next light, his lane runs out past the light so I figured I would give it what it had. I was loaded with two cars on the 50 foot trailer. He beat me off the line in into my lane.... duh. Then behind him we had to stop for a left turn car. I managed to keep my truck up behind him, eating smoke though. I thought it was cute, he could not out pull me with at least straight exhaust and injectors (lot of smoke at shifts) on a pull. He sure did weigh a lot less than I did.

In my book, staying anywhere near him was a real accomplishment. My truck has no good 0 to 60 times but it pulls like a locomotive.

It does not make the bird full of happiness When I hit it like that she runs off the back of the perch and sits in the back squaking.... The perch sits front to back between the seats. And no, animal lovers, it can't hurt her.

New state hwy patrol developments have made me very glad to be a looser or not race at all. We now have a Dodge DRW Cummins patrol car. Every time I have seen him, he has the ticket book out and a very dejected driver is standing there. So, if you are in the lowcountry look out for a very fast silver dually that has only the highway stripe on the side.

I sometimes play with the odd Dmax or F series. They will pull up beside me and obviously want to play.
I for the most part ignore them while we are sitting there at a light. Light changes and off he charges but with me just staying with him but not really giving her. Depending on where we are, this might happen at one light or more.
Like Haulin, my truck is no sports car off the line, but get her breathing hard and she is a monster. So usually after playing second to these guys, I just haul on it at the last second and show them what they are really playing with.
The next set of lights, they usually pull up behind me and patiently wait for the light to change.

Keeping my playing hand to myself is great. What they don't know is what drives them nuts.

I am rarely doing anything that would interest a cop. I am generally 65 in a 70 now with fuel prices so high.

speaking of fuel, the price went up 15 cents in the last couple of days.
