hail damage prevention

I am watching a big storm come rolling in right now, and all of a sudden I hear it hailing. I cant park my truck in the garage, as my wife needs to park there, so what should I do so I dont have a wrecked truck tomorrow morning? a tarp?

I'd cover the thing with about 4 inches of blankets...

Blankets and bungie cords... worry about the hood and roof, bed caps are easy to fix, and, unless it's bigger than golfball size, it won't do bad damage to the glass or sides.

Good luck, bro.

best answer so far haha.

but seriously blankets are your best idea, or if you can hang a tarp from he house over your truck.

for the future a good idea is to get some pvc piping and build a frame over the truck and hang a tarp over that. its light and easy to move around. anchor it and you have yourself a small shelter for your truck and even a tent should you get the wife angry for parking her car outside and leaving yours in the garage. lol

If your truck fits in the garage, use the garage for your truck. Wrap your wife's car in blankets--- probably smaller and takes less blankets!

I usually use moving blankets to cover mine in that situation and then i roll a tarp over it so they don't blow away. Lucky for me I sell moving blankets so I have plenty.....
