Got a Glock
Purchased my first Glock yesterday.
Glock 22 .40cal.
After the events in these parts about a month ago, I figured I needed
A- more stopping power and
B- more capacity.
Previous carry weapon, Walther PPK/s .380, 7 in the magazine, 1 in the chamber.
Now, with the Glock, .40cal, 15 in the magazine, 1 in the chamber.
Little bit bigger, little harder to conceal, but still smaller and lighter than my Ruger 9mm.
Got a temporary small of the back inside the pants holster for now.
Next gun show that rolls around, I'll shop for a nice shoulder holster like the one I have for the PPK.
Not to sure about the hidden hammer and automatic safety.
I'm used to a hammer I can see is cocked, and a safety I can see is engaged.
My heavens (g rated ) these things are expensive.
Who'da thunk plastic was worth it's weight in gold.
I guess I'm a member of the Tactical Tupperware club now.

Nice! I used to have a H&K USP Expert. Way too hard to conceal. I just bought a Kimber Custom Stainless II. I know its still pretty big, but I like the 45 cal and the 1911 style. I'm still considering something a little smaller. I not sure what to go with though. What brand of holster did you get?

Put 100 rounds through it at the gun shops inside range.
Learned my first lesson with the first shot, "don't put your thumb there!".
Slide bite, bled like a bugger.
Amazingly all the shots hit the target, most weren't exactly where I wanted them, but I guess still in the "hurt you really bad" zone.
Have to get used to the Glock trigger pull.
I did get the night sights, don't see where you change the battery for them though.
What is it? some radioactive material that I want to keep away from my "parts"?
Any words of Glock Ownership Wisdom from the rest of the Glock fanboy club?

Nice "ride" you got there, Phox. I got to fire a G17 not too long ago and it was nice. My carry weapon is this....
I've got night sights on the sig and I like them alot. It's funny. I shoot better at night then I do during the day. I'm more focused on center mass at night and the points during the day. As long as you focus on center mass, you're good to go. Flashlight shooting is a lot of fun, too. Makes things interesting. The .357 sig round fires at 1500 fps or so and when I was shooting from 100 yards, I couldn't believe how easy it was to hit the small targets I was shooting at. GREAT weapon
I don't have much experience with the Glock but the one I shot recently was really nice. I wish I could have done more long range shooting with it. I was curious how it would have compared to the SIG.

i have the same gun, except i bought the lasermax internal laser. i love my gun but if i could do it over id get the compact for ease of concealment. on the glock trigger, i know what you mean. it took me anout 1000 rounds to get where i wanted to be. i was consistently shooting low right and it was becuase i was pulling the trigger causing me to be off. i finally figured out what i was doing wrong and love it now. enjoy
