The new song is pretty good but I doubt it will get a lot air time. As far as Garth I met him before he got real popluar when he did a concert in a bar right before his first album came out. I was working as a bouncer/security and got to sit down with him and drink a few after the show. I just thought "pretty good rodeo music and a dang good singer" I worked alot of different shows during college and he was the only artist that actually treated all people equally. I liked his older music but after awhile it seemed he became too commerical in my book. Hard to compare to George.

Still haven't heard it on the radio here in Mid Missouri. I have a radio on all the time. Called a local station to ask about it...they were like WHAT?
It might take longer in some parts of the country to get airplay.

here's a slightly off topic question:

Is Shania Twain (sp?) cheating us by not doing a single decent song?

i mean, it seems like she REALLY can sing, she's got some good range, emotion and technically can sing very well.

but i heard an old boy on CMT say once "that's our first big hit, and it's a real song, not just a Drinking Ditty" and he went on to talk about "bubble gum country/rock"
and I knew exactly who he was talking about.

and that's all I hear Shania sing, is just stupid ditty's about womens rights, being drunk, going shopping or just nothing.

i mean, you listen to an old Cash song, or Hank, and it's about something that you can relate to years later, an emotion, a situation, a human drama.

not some occurence that should be on Divorce Court.

i'd really like to have a CD of her doing good old Gospel Hymns, Amazing Grace, May Circle be unbroken,

without studio gimmicks, or "doing them her way" so they come off corny (like when Charlie Daniels does sometimes)

but just some good solid hymns with minimal musical accompaniment so you could play them and sing along on raod trips.

anyone agree?
she's more belly button that talent

Iam only 27, and my favorit would be "The Man in Black" Johnny Cash, the older singers rule.

"One Piece At A Time" is my favorite Johnny Cash song. I can relate to that one.

I'd take her belly button over some talent any day.
She has also sold more records than any other female artist.

Whats up fellas, just got back from Kaycee, Wyoming today. Spent the week hunting deer and antelope. Good times. as some of you may know Kaycee, town of 249 is where Chris Ledoux lived. Ive been a big fan of his for many years. I can tell you this much... when the man sang about western skies, I now understand where the inspiration came from. Words cant describe how beutiful that area is. I have seen him in concert a few times what an electrifying show he put on. Really a tragedy to loose an all around talent like that man. In my opinion the man never got as much credit as he deserved. A true legend . I for one will miss the raw talent he possesed. The kind of talent you dont see anymore. God bless him, may he rest in peace, and may his music play on. I know I'll be crankin it
