Good Deed in the Rain

Was driving home last night in the rain (and if you know SoCal, it wasn't just rain, it was STORM WATCH 2006). Didn't want to get on the 15 because traffic was slow so I took the frontage road to get to Temecula. Came up to a stop sign from a freeway access road and saw flashing lights. Great, the accidents have already started. Got closer and saw a triple axle bumper pull travel trailer/toy hauler being pulled by a large SUV. Realized that it was an Excursion and he had pulled onto Rainbow Valley Rd and was stalled in the middle of the intersection blocking traffic. CHP was directing traffic around him and the going was slow to get through the intersection. As I went around him I saw the guy in front of his Ex on his phone. I asked him if he needed a tug out of the intersection. He said yeah, so I backed up to him and got my tow strap out. I asked him if it was a diesel and he said yeah. I had seen dealer plates on the back as I went around him and asked him if it was the 6.oh no. He said it was a 7.3 and was a used Ex. We got hooked up and as we were getting into our vehicles he asked the question "Are you sure that you can pull me?" Just get in and steer. Got him pulled out of the intersection and off the road, got props from the CHP, and got many thanks from the guy in the Ex. All in a days work people.

Should have given him a "Powered By Cummins Turbo Diesel" sticker.

Congrats on helping out a citizen in need.
I'll bet there were a bunch of drivers stuck behind him that would also say thanks.

Good job!

What goes around comes around.
I pulled someone out of a ditch late one Christmas eve and she could not believe it when I wouldn't take any money.
Help someone out some time, it will come back in the future.
