ghosts-psychics
Hey logskidder, I really would like to hear more of your experiences. I've known of some of those guys like your Dad visited and have always been fascinated by what I hear. If its something you're not comfortable talking about thats fine, I was just hoping to hear more.
well, i took some photos the other day as recomended by a friend. he said some other stuff about evp's and gause(sp) readings (what ever that is) need to be checked. i'll throw the pics up as soon as approved
Sorry this is not about ghost. Nothing has ever happened to me, but my Grandmother could see things. She knew when thing where going to happen and such. My mom and aunts and uncles would all try to get her to tell them the lottery numbers, but she said it was a gift and she would not use it that way. When she foresaw my grandfathers death and a few others she quit using it because she said it was to painful. When my sister was only a couple of years old she would say mamaw is about to call or mamaw is coming over. My mom would tell her she isn't coming today or something and within a few minutes the phone would ring or there would be a knock at the door. Jump to the present. My grandmother is in an alzhiemers(sp) home and sometimes when my uncle shows up she will be in the front room waiting and tell him "I knew you were coming to visit me." Also last weekend we all went to clean out her house and the home called my uncle and told him she got real up set and fell out of her chair. Spooked us all because if she knew what was going on she would not be letting us go through her stuff.
I have had lots of experiences like the ones posted on here. Just ask my twin of the south...Lary/TOP.
One that always sticks out for me...
A bunch of us guys are in my car...heading home from a party. The party was a dud so we left early. Since we did drink a fair bit I suggested we take the back roads and all agreed. Its mid May so its nice out. We're cruising down this gravel road at about 50-60 mph and all of a sudden we are crashing through deep snow. We went about 100 yards before we got stuck...and I mean stuck...in deep snow. I looked around and realized even though it was May, the bushes on either side of the road had captured a huge amount of snow...and we found it. We tried to get the car out by pushing but no luck.
Kevin and Dave decided they would go for help one way and Leonard and Lance would go the other way. Roy and I stayed at the car. Kev and Dave went straight north towards the busiest highway and Len and Lance went straight south...towards some farm yard lights. I could hear the semi's on the main highway that Kev and Dave headed towards. Then, it went silent for awhile. I got out of the car and so did Roy. We both needed to relieve ourselves. While standing out there along comes Kev and Dave...FROM THE SOUTH!!! They had to cross through two thick rows of bushes and go over two barb wire fences and then somehow come all the way around from the south side. Then we hear Len and Lance and they come from the north.
All of us are looking around and wondering what the heck happened and we all asked each other if we were losing it. We decided to get in the car and let it idle for a bit to warm up and to try and figure out what happened.
While we are in the car we hear a banshee screaming and we can see a shadow in a window of an old abandoned house just south of the bushes beside the car. It looked like there was a lady in a rocker going back and forth in the window of that house. Never noticed that house before and we all swore it was not there when we got stuck. At this point we were all getting a bit nervous. We even considered maybe someone put something in our beers. Not likely as it was a slow party and none of us felt like we were even drunk anymore. Now here is where the freaky stuff starts. We all hear what sounds like a tractor chugging and I look in the rear view and there it is. A farmer has come to pull us out. The other guys are all turned around and see it coming. Just as Dave was about to get out the farmer on the tractor stands up and motions for us to stay put. He climbs down, hooks a chain to his tractor and then we hear him hooking it up to my car. We feel the car rocking and moving and we get pulled off the snow back on to the gravel. We all jump out to thank the guy but theres no tractor, no farmer and no chain! And then we hear that banshee again. We all got in the car and got out of there fast...asking each other all the way home what just happened out there.
The next morning I am outside near the back of my car, still thinking about what happened and brushing it off as some freak thing. Then, I look at the back bumper and its all bent up and crunched like it was wrapped by a chain.
Strange.
When I was 17 I rolled a truck end for end 7 times. I know this because a farmer saw it happen when he was out checking his cattle. The truck landed on me. Stopped my heart, broke my back in seven places, punctured lung etc etc. I see myself floating above the ambulance looking out over a waving field of wheat. I hear myself say "Not right now." Then BANG, I wake up in the ER with people all over the place. I learned that my heart had stopped.
I figured I must have had some kind of out of body experience. I remember it so vividly even to this day. After being in ICU for three weeks and moved to recovery, this guy comes in to the room. I was in a room shared with three other patients. I look at the guy and I say; "Your the ambulance driver." He flops down in a chair and asks how I knew that. I told him how I saw him get out of the drivers seat and come around to the back when the other attendant said my heart had stopped. He was baffled and I was too. Then he tells me that he had written me off for dead until one of the docs in the ER told him I survived and was upstairs in recovery. He said he just had to come up to see me.

here are some recent pics at home

i don't know what it is in the photos. the first pic is the basement. notice a small amount of fog like stuff? (i don't know what else to call it).
the second pic is living room, you see it again but more defined.
the last pic (basement) is really "foggy". this is also the same area that i have the most "activity".
what prompted these pics is i was told to try to make "contact"-asking out loud if anyone was here ect. and at the same time take repeated and random photos of the house.

What bridge is it in Round Rock or Georgetown, Tx where you can put powder on the trunk of your car and then put it in N on one side and it will roll to other side and then get out and see the hand prints on the trunk in the powder? Probably a bunch of High School BS, but it was a story talked about when I was in school.

good stories everyone. heres my submission:
when i was in college, me and my buddy lived in a house together. he worked weird hours and i was gone alot so we would onyl see each other every week or two. one day in particular, i was in my room with someone watching a movie and i thought i heard him come home. i heard the front door close, footsteps, his room door close, and the tv come on. about a hour or so later the person in my room with me asked if my roommate had come in and said she thought she heard the door. i go and look and hes nowhere to be found so i called him and he hadnt been home all day.
not weird in and of itself....this is the weird part
me and the roommate are in the kitchen one day and i tell him the story. he tells me the same thing happened to him where him and his GF heard me come in but i wasnt there. right then, and if im lying im dying here, the vent hood turns on on the stove. neither one of us even knew we had a vent hood.
i know it doesnt really compare to the other stories posted here, but, at the time it freaked me out. there were lots of weirtd little things too, but the vent hood turning on by itself, while we were talking about all the weird things that had happened, was kinda intense

the weird events always seemed to revolve around when we had girls over

shortly after my wife moved in (same house) on severasl occasions she woudl come into the bedroom to see who was here b/c she thought she saw someone walk by in the mirror of the bathroom.
nothing has happened in a while though, maybe whoever it is has gotten used to me
Ok, I'll contribute a couple of my more believable experiences. Believe if you wish, please don't hate if you don't.
Here's why I believe:
When I was still in highschool, I used to hang out at my buddy's house just about every afternoon after school. We'd just sit in the living room playing Nintendo or whatever and listening to tunes on the stereo. He insisted his house was haunted so I asked him to prove it. He said ok, and went on to tell me the ghost didn't like the Offspring. He put in the CD, pressed play, and it played. I was not impressed. Then it stopped. I didn't believe it, as it could just be a problem with the CD. So we took the stereo accross the street to another freind's house. The CD played just fine. Went back to his house and it wouldn't play... but it was only the CD "Smash" by the Offspring (I had a copy of the same CD and it wouldn't play in his house either). Everything else worked fine. That CD played fine in my car too. Just that CD in that house.
A couple month's later he had a party while his mom was out of town (we weren't able to score any booze though). A few of us decided to use a Ouija board just for kicks. It seemed to be working and as always everyone claimed they weren't pushing it. We asked for a sign, and a poster of Alicia Silverstone fell off the wall. The poster was hung with tacks at all four corners, it wouldn't have just fallen (actually just the top of the poster fell, the tacks at the bottom continued to hold). We were kind of creeped out, except me, ever the skeptic. I taunted the so-called spirit and said I would believe it if it could hang the poster back up. The S-O-B hung itself back up, but just for a moment, and fell again. Then a jar full of change fell off the headboard of his waterbed and the lights went out. When they came back on about 2 seconds later, the Oracle for the Ouija board was gone. I found it in my car the next morning! My car was at my house that night (I lived nearby and had just walked up)! Locked! And I had the ONLY KEY, it was in my pocket the entire time!
We continued to use that Ouija board, sometimes at his house, sometimes at mine. We took it to a cemetery and it wouldn't work, which makes sense. All was well and it was fun until we took it to a church. One of our freinds passed out while using it there, and his girlfriend claims to have heard a voice saying "Die B----". No one else heard the voice, but I believe her. Everyone that was at the church with us that night woke up the next morning with a cut, bruise, scratch, etc that couldn't be explained. I still have the scar on my arm. We burned that Ouija board a couple days later in a fire pit near the lake in our neighborhood. I am catholic and had brought a vial of holy water. We sprinkled it on the board as it was burning and it was like pouring gas on a fire. We buried the ashes, and nothing will grow there. This was 12 years ago.
Is this proof of an afterlife? I think so:
A couple years after the Ouija board mishap (I haven't used one since), my brother planned a trip out to Montana for the summer. He asked me to house-sit while he was gone. The house had belonged to my grandparents, both already dead, and my father had actually passed away in the house. To this day I wish he'd sell it.
Anyway, this was overall the best summer of my life. I was 20 years old, no worries, no supervision; it was a party every night and we all had a fantastic time. There were some funny things going on though.
The bedroom is on the back side of the house with a window looking out over the backyard. There's a power line running accross the yard. Three crows used to sit on that line and watch the house. Anytime they caught me looking back at them, they'd caw back at me. I assumed it was my grandparents and father keeping an eye, and I quickly got used to their presence. Often times I'd wave and they'd caw back at me.
We'd hear what sounded like footsteps in the hallway or attic, and tapping noises on the walls. Just an old house? Sometimes we'd find lights on in the basement or garage, knowing darn well we'd turned them off... forgetfullness?
Then the voices. I'd sometimes wake up in the night, and hear my dad's voice. Usually just a simple "Hi", or "Hello", sometimes he'd add my name. Once he asked if I wanted to go fishing: "Lets go fishin' today" he said. My old man was an avid fly fisherman. I later found my rod, reel, and vest sitting next to the front door, ready to go.
My Brother still lives in that house, and he still see's the crows, and he still hears the footsteps and tapping. He's a skeptic though and won't admit to hearing any voices.
Oh, and just in case anyone is wondering: I did go fishing that day, to one of dad's favorite spots. I was pulling smallmouth out of Locust Creek all day long.
Enjoy!
Dave

Freaky stuff.
