3 hour errand day today and clean the house, steak on the grill with fresh sweet corn, fresh fruit and multicolored jello. picked out meat for a big picnic next week; marinade, BBQ, peppered and honey cured starts now. farm done, low cost- about 2.00 pound for top round. I do not mind walking in mud for that. and farmers are always fun to chat with.

REDLEG, looked at that front end loader and it fits a '350' style tractor, not yours. I can go back to the 8n type bucket but without four wheel drive you would not be doing much snow. whatever I can get for you, let me know.
I can bring up a cab for your monster truck if you want to fight to put that back together.....picked up those rubber exhaust connectors, will get oil to it first, thanks for all your turbo help! 2nd reason for errands. love it when young counter men at auto parts store just kind of tilt their head and wonder what you want.

neighbor got ripped off for his stock of scrap steel. made some inqueries at local scrap yards and got a good tip. now question is: give unconfirmed tip to sheriff or tell the neighbor who will just go shoot them. sad- guy is disabled and saves all year for Christmas present money for his daughter. I really hate when the elderly or infirm are targeted.

NW Houston 85*F and Fair. Was in the mid 90s today. Got the truck out of the dealers. See post in 2nd gen engine & drivetrain. Took the bus down. Us sexy seniors get FREE bus pass. Prudent student dropped me off at the Park & Ride.
Met with Pistol and his son for coffee a couple of weeks ago. Great people. Think the living arrangement will work out well.
Pistol, when I get the "Lunch Laddy" uniform, will wear it when we go for coffee again. Baseball cap, blue polo shirt and apron supplied. I get my own kaki pants, socks and non slip shoes. Take the street sweeper when you drive to the breakroom for and...

There is a big problem with theft of scrap, and not scraped yet, metal theft here.

Evening all,

Just got back from a three-day camping trip with son. Slept great, ate great, caught limits of rainbows. Couldn't stop in for so I had to make my own over the fire. Great stuff. Slice off a slab, stick it between your cheek and gum, stow another slab in your pocket for later.

Nose is feeling better. I see the doctor tomorrow. Hope I can keep the lump, it helps keep my glasses in place. Back is o.k. Not good, but managable.

Haven't broke anything lately, so, sorry, no tickets to watch me work.

 

Weather has been great for two days in a row so no computer time. Sounds like everybody else has been busy too. Hard to imagine madhat out floating around without beer.

 

Evening

Just got back from working out. Felt like a wet dishrag after we got done. A shower and a cup of coffee and we're good to go. Well to bed anyway... just a little tired now.

Hat good to see that they haven't made you walk the plank as of yet.

Busy day at work tomorrow, and we're short a couple of guys. Oh well you can only do as much as you can do. With this heat no one wants to work overtime either so that doesn't help. Plus it's Friday.
