Speaking of which, you'll see traffic on the site start to rise quite a bit toward late Sept and early Oct. The surge usually comes right around then. Summer has been slow. With gas prices, especially slow.

Almost lunchn munchn time,

There is light rain shower now in NW Houston, no wind yet. Daughter and S-I-L both off work. Up north in trooperthorn country they have snow days. here we have hurricane days.. Trooper got a pix of yourself to post?
Like Chaikwa says it would be fun to watch you work.

Last saturday went out to S-I-Ls moms. She lives on a big piece of property, has little mini horses, donkeys, a liama and many dogs. Our son was with us, and we cut some dead trees for her. Better than waiting for the wind to take them down.
We always have fun out there. The kidletts like being around the animals.
Wife still job hunting. The job market is shrinking, even here in Houston.
Sunday I made a deposit at the blood bank. The vampires called my name.
The blood center always got free stuff. Blue Bell ice cream gave a cupon for a pint of their ice cream. Good stuff, a pint for a pint. Free T shirt, and enuff points to shop and get the tool kit in the vampire store.
Fronty, you must be getting bored being home so long, all the work on the truck you been doing.
5er nurse, cook, bottle washer Bob, take care of the wife. Hope she gets better soon.
Looking for the recovery disk for the sick computer of mine. Wife saw them somewhere, she thinks.
I can get by on this one. Have to remember all of my secret stuff.

Next week I go for training/ orientation for my "LUNCH LADDY" job. Chaikwa, take note of the title.

Have a good un and be safe out there.

Morinin' All! (it's still mornin in AK )

Been a few days since I dropped in for a cup of . Flood watch from last weekend is over but it's still raining off and on . Wish it would quit long enough to let the yard dry out so I can mow down the jungle it has become.

Kids head back to school in 2 weeks and I gotta go buy the mountains of supplies that the schools require. And new cloths for them. And shoes. and on and on and on.......... Kids is expensive! (but worth it. )

Keep the pot burnin'!

Good afternoon everybody. We had a big storm roll through last night. Tornados were reported in the area, one hit the GF's town and destroyed alot of stuff. I guess many trees went down, houses got torn up, and some flooding in the low areas. Her car got hit by a basketball hoop during the night. It dented the roof a little and scratched it, nothing too bad but it definately should be fixed. They said a tornado went through my town but it didn't leave much damage compared to where the gf lives. Lots of branches are on the ground. We did get between 3-5 inches of rain over night, we needed it too. Oh well, everything else is fine, just gotta go outside and pick up the yard a little. Think I'll have some of that sweet tea.

Mid afternoon snack time.

NW Houston, 75*F wind only 9MPH. More rain forecast, but the storm has move to the NW and weakend.
Blue3/4, saw on the weather chan last night about the storms up your way. Good to know that went OK for you and the main squeeze.
ofcmarc, don't worry about mowing, just put up "no hunting signs." I remember in parts of Fairbanks the high water marks posted on buildings from past floods.
Quite time here this afternoon.
Got some catch up reading to do.

Have a good un and be safe out there.

Just a quick check in. Hotter than Houston up here? We're melting. Saw a convoy of electrical contractors headed south while comeing into work. I imagine they're headed to those areas hit by the Chicago storms.

Wink yes indeed, loud storms, picky flooding.....

low areas , on the mountain here it depends which way the storm comes in if we get the worst of it. Southern storms kill us....
Glad you all got the property you started with!

I dunno 3/4 loco man- think you better speak of Chicago in the future; three yards planning to add more repair work. they are leaving the Buffalo area. Cleveland couldn't afford the space they wanted. hope that becomes more condusive work stuff for you. Valparaiso, huh- big time Lutheran church kid here. ignored a free ride to college.....

loud thuder boomers and lightning here sent me inside. Trooper- kids do not ever get cheaper....moving out still cost us..good thing son has a good job, we 'let' him pay for the stuff he wanted glad he likes peanut butter sandwiches....LOL

CHAIWKA (Tsay- EEK- wah) mah dono ooa TA ka (Seneca) loosely for What's going on? YOUR T shirt design is a real crowd catcher...Mike has been stopped about 15 times with an interest or comment. We have yet to wear both shirts at the same time ala disneyland parents who want to look alike...

Heidi still on the road but can't get diesel grease out of the fingernails, not looking too professional these days...

Yard is picked up, made beef tips over egg noodles for dinner, getting ready to relax boefore going to bed.

dssimecek, thanks, she's still without power and her place is in a lower lying area so flooding is possible there. Hopefully power will be one tomorrow, I guess chicago has 220,000 homes w/o power right now.

Justwannabeme, wash that diesel grease off them hands, be safe out on the road!

Just wanted to say Hello (still have out of state visitors). Glad everybody is still doing well but something one of you said has got me going so (because of my wife) I am busy writing some letters. You people are bad....In a good way. I jobb: For political reasons, our schools get out early and start early. I wont go into the “why” or I will get ranting (my youngest is 29 and is out of State so its not an issue anymore).

Ofcmarc:-- Where you work is a pit. No disrespect intended (pretty sure you would agree), 1983 was the first time there for me and the last was in 2001 dropping off some rotten critters, --I didn’t go past booking. You guys have a tough job. Be careful.

Not sure which one she's talkin' 'bout. Must be the non-profit one tho. I'll post the new logo below.

Glad you both made it outta the storm in relative safety. We got absolutely nothing up here.

Good title, but you wouldn't want ME as your 'lunch-lady', I can't boil water without messin' it up! Don't have the patience for cookin'. I have a theory; if a recipe calls for something to be put in the oven for 30 minutes at 300 degrees, then 15 minutes at 600 oughta be just as good!

Cin, good breakfast this mornin', thanks!

Coffee, tea, sweet tea an' ph00 are ready.

chaikwa.
