My ATV has a sealed fuel system, it's EFI and has many times had the lid under water. Still was yellow after sitting several months. Luckily I ran out any reminance of that fuel last weekend.
I noticed in the Marine section of a local sporting goods store that Stabil Marine will trat more gallons/$ than the regular red stuff. I suspect it may be better too, as it is blended for ethanol. Your thoughts?
It would appear that ethanol is almost evreywhere now, as alcohol is cheaper than oil or gasoline, so, more profit for Big Oil. In the mean time, we need to be careful with any open fuel systems witj stuff like Stabil, to prevent expensive trips to the shop.

Open systems, like ATV, Motor Cycles, boats, lawnmowers are where you should use it.
The question is if it is needed in cars that are not run a lot. It seems if you burn a tank in 6 mo's, that is enough; however, I think the Stabil, regular or marine, is low cost insurance.
