front door speaker opinions please.
front door speaker opinions please.
here's the deal.
i just put a complete new system in my rig. alpine 9857 hu, alpine type R fronts, infinity 6012i in the rear, 4 ch amp and so on.
i wanted the the infinity 6010CS in the front but the stereo guy upsold me into the type R's. the type R's were quite a bit more expensive.
i am not happy with the typeR's. the vocals are not as good as i had hoped.
which set is more popular and why?
i have since purchased a set of infinity 6010CS and have been reluctant to install.

If you aren't happy with the way the Alpines sound, and you have the infinity's, swap 'em. It's not a popularity contest, it's what sounds good to you. You drive it every day.
That said, I like the Infinity's better than the Alpine's, depending on the power. I have a set of Rockford Power T1 3 ways that sounded like dump until I put 200 watts per speaker on them. The Alpine's might want more power than your amp is giving them.
