I dunno what to tell ya. I had a REAL expensive American made jack. Nice jack too... when it was new. I used it a couple years or so, with just occasional light use, maybe once a week IF that. Then it wouldn't go up under load anymore. So I took it back to where I bought it and they told me, "Yep, it needs a rebuild." AFTER A YEAR??? Was told it'd cost $160 to rebuild it. OK. It was $600 new, I guess I better throw $160 at it. Lasted another year after that. Took it back AGAIN and they said, "What do you DO with this thing?" Um... USE IT? I don't own anything that comes close to the jack's capacity so I don't think I've abused it!

I finally gave up. Bought a cheap chinese special for $99 at the local bargain house and it's on it's 3rd year without problems. Go figure.

I bought at "SUV 7000" jack at tractor supply. It easily lifts my truck and has a very high lift height.

I really lke my Goodyear jack that I got from Sam's a few years back. the only problem I had was that the removable handle would pop off when I was pulling it around. It was a quick fix with my drill and a cotter pin and it's been trouble free since. Best part it was only $60...

I've got an old 2 1/2 ton Craftsman. 20 years of moderate use and it still works. Its never seen any maintenance as far as I can remember.

I have a 2 ton little gray 30 pound wonder that I got before China existed , haha. Just put a little jack oil in it about every 2-3 years. I think the little bottle of jack oil is older than I am....now that's old.

This little jack has lifted more cars and trucks than Arnold has lifted weights. Still going strong.

Got 2 of these, one normal and one modified with HD pneumatic tires for out in the field and gravel.

Another vote for the 2 1/2 ton Craftsman, 15 years, no problems.
